The user removed the magazine, racked the slide – as instructed – then put the non-dominant hand on the front of the muzzle preparing to move the slide back for disassembly. The only thing left to do was pull the trigger.
What we did was partner with what I believe are the four biggest names in the non-lethal industry. Taser Self-defense. Taser energy weapons, Sabre pepper sprays, Byrna non-lethal launchers and ASP.
They are known as prepared or professional citizens, part of a growing number of gun owners who are adapting their mind-set to uncertain and polarized times.
No amount of fancy add-ons or custom features can make up for a weak body. Do you want to be a better shooter, competitor, operator, etc? If so, you need to acknowledge that strength makes everything better.
Unfortunately some school officials don’t do what’s necessary to keep children safe. Some are too lazy to ensure exterior doors are secure. Others suffer from denial that anything bad would ever happen. Denial, of course, has no survival value.
Owning a firearm for personal protection doesn’t just stop once you get it home. You owe it to yourself, your family and society to acquire the training needed to properly handle and successfully deploy that firearm should the need arise.
While I try to put in training time at the range, I never feel like it’s enough. Because of that, I’ve been using several alternative methods of keeping my skills sharp. The Mantis BlackbeardX system is the one I use the most.
