Another Florida Sheriff’s Simple Message For Violent Criminals: ‘You’re Subject to Get Shot and Shot a Lot’

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd

Florida’s working on becoming the FAFO state, at least when it comes to violent criminals victimizing the law-abiding.  First it was Manatee County Sheriff Rick Wells publicly stating that home invaders should expect to be shot in his county. The next day, a video of Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd sparring with a soft-on-crime activist posing as a reporter went viral.

In the video, Judd explains to an apparently slow-witted jernalizmist that when you carjack someone with the threat of force, “you’re subject to get shot and shot a lot.”

Just summed it up this way . . .

If you come to this county and you use extreme violence to try to carjack somebody from their car, if you get shot, that’s on you.

Judd’s a tough-talking lawman who’s been Sheriff in Polk County for 20 years. He’s the sheriff whose deputies shot a cop-killer. Sixty-eight times.

When a reporter from the local dead-tree rag Orlando Sentinel asked him why they shot the riddled the perp more than five dozen times, Judd answered,  “That’s all the bullets we had, or we would have shot him more.”

That sent the local soft-on-crime snowflakes into a full-blown meltdown, something the Sheriff has accomplished a number of times. More recently he talked about how his SWAT team killed a man who shot one of his deputies. “We killed him graveyard dead,” Judd said at a press conference in front of the dead perp’s bullet-riddled car.

The bottom line? Unlike places like Illinois that releases arrestees without posting a dime for bail, Florida doesn’t fool around with criminals. And it surely seems like Florida’s law enforcement will stand behind good guys and gals who righteously use deadly force to thwart criminal attacks…as they should.

  1. This man’s no nonsense approach and total lack of political correctness is exactly what we need with our elected officials. His message to potential looters was spot on when he told them that the likelihood of them being shot was very high and that the HOMEOWNERS would totally have his backing. The folks in Polk County are lucky to have him.

    1. God no, he should be the next guy to clean the turds out of the city pound.

      He is immensely anti-gun.

His pro-gun stance is a shtick he plays for the cameras.

He’s enforced more red flag orders than even leftist Miami-Dade and Broward counties, combined.

  2. BTW, two things off the topic of the story. Dan, thanks for your hard work in starting this site.
I hope you reap many benefits from it. And thanks to John Boch, the hardest working 2A proponent in Illinoisistan.
As a life member, I can state that the Guns Save Life organization in Illinoisistan, leads from the front.
I’m proud to be part of that.

I want to wish DZ, Mr Boch, and the POTG a very blessed New Year !
Keep yer powder dry boys & girls, and seek out & do some dynamic training !!
The sleepers & lone wolves are going to be coming out in ‘25.
They will need…”to be shot, and shot a lot.”
