SHOT 2025: Angstadt Arms New Suppressor Products

Coming soon from Angstadt Arms is a very cool new integrally suppressed barrel system for the AR-15, which will be available in both 223/5.56 and 300 Blackout. Thanks to its 16-inch barrel length, owners can build a standard rifle instead of an SBR, avoiding the tax stamp and other NFA hassles.

Ports in the barrel direct gas into the .46 caliber suppressor, which is removable for use on other firearms!

That’s really the big trick here, as one downside to the vast majority of integrally suppressed guns is the fact that the silencer system is permanently attached to it. You’ve paid your $200 tax and waited for registration and approval and such, but the end result is a silencer that’s married to a specific firearm.

Not the case here as the suppressor portion can be unscrewed and, with its industry-standard HUB thread size at the base, used on effectively every other gun you own that fires a .46 caliber or smaller projectile, including on 9mm and 45 ACP pistols and most all of your rifles (not sure on max cartridge energy rating yet but all standard rifle cartridges should be good to go at least up to 300 Win Mag).

Available even sooner is a full line of DMLS 3D printed titanium silencers for pistols and rifles. Multiple length options exist and at least four bore sizes will be available right off the bat, including 223/5.56, .30 cal, 9mm, and .46 cal.

These suppressors look pretty cool and are extremely lightweight, ranging from about 6 ounces up to 8-ish ounces without the mount. They’re all HUB-compatible.

We’ll get our hands on some of these goodies for full reviews soon! In the meantime, check out the integrally suppressed 10/22 barrels and all of the rest of the suppressor products over on Angstadt’s website HERE.

  1. “Thanks to its 16-inch barrel length, owners can build a standard rifle instead of an SBR, avoiding the tax stamp and other NFA hassles”

Unless I’m wrong and something changed: An ‘integrally suppressed’ barrel is still a ‘suppressor’ under NFA. If you build a rifle with a 16 inch ‘integrally suppressed’ barrel you will still be subject to NFA and tax stamp.

Am I wrong or am I reading incorrectly what was written ?

    1. *Avoiding the NFA hassle of an SBR. You still have to deal with the suppressor.

It’s my understanding that you also wouldn’t have to worry about crossing state lines with this. You need special permission with an SBR.
