Philadelphia’s Soros DA Larry Krasner Sues GLOCK While Letting Gang Members Run Wild

Larry Krasner, one of Team Soros’ star “progressive” prosecutors, has delivered a masterpiece in deflection. Did you miss that the city of Philadelphia and its DA have file suit against the street gangs that run wild in the City of Brotherly Love? Don’t worry, you didn’t miss that news because it didn’t happen. Instead, they’re suing GLOCK, claiming that the company “substantially contributes” to the gun crime in the City of Brotherly Love via “deceptive marketing” that allegedly makes illegal auto-sears (“GLOCK switches”) seem like more fun.

We all know the problem here is gang violence, not “gun violence.” But to political hacks like Larry Krasner, he prefers to use the politically useful term “gun violence” because it puts the blame on the guns, not the thugs who are shooting up the place.

Likewise, nothing screams “I’m fixing gang violence” like some courtroom drama against a gunmaker that doesn’t even sell the illegal parts that are the problem here. But that’s what we’ve come to expect from a Team Soros prosecutor who doesn’t believe in the right of armed self-defense at all, much less the right of the little people to own the tools to make that happen.

Krasner’s suit gripes that a video posted to GLOCK’s social media shows a rep mag-dumping with one trigger pull—caption: “The only thing more fun than a Glock is a full-auto Glock.”  They tie this to a deadly Grays Ferry block-party shooting last year, where three died from a switched GLOCK.

Philly officials, unable and/or unwilling to deal with the crime problem in their city, clutch pearls over an obscure video making conversions look cool while letting the black market flourish. If Philly’s public schools are anything like most big city government schools, there’s not much worry about there. Gang bangers can’t read past the first grade level, if that. But that doesn’t stop Mayor Cherelle Parker proclaiming that GLOCK prioritizes “profit over safety,” while Giffords’ Adam Skaggs scolds the company for not condemning banned switches as “illegal and deadly.”

Meanwhile, Krasner virtue-signals against “Big Gun.” His soft-on-crime record—low bail, declined prosecutions, light sentences, probation over jail—helped turn Philly into a crime hotspot for years. Under his watch, murders spiked to over 500 before finally dropping. Now he brags it’s the “lowest in 60 years” as the city benefits from the nation-wide drop in violent crime. Yet instead of aggressively prosecuting the criminals who turn pistols into machine guns, which is hard, he sues the manufacturer which is easier and makes for better headlines.

This isn’t justice, it’s performance art. Scapegoat law-abiding gun owners and a gun company for crimes committed by repeat offenders Krasner’s own policies have let skate. If Philly wants less bloodshed, start with the trigger-pullers, not the trigger-advertisers.

Fox29 has more about Krasner’s lawsuit:

The City of Philadelphia and District Attorney Larry Krasner have sued gun maker Glock, claiming that the company has “substantially contributed to the gun violence epidemic,” in both the city and the state.

The lawsuit alleges that Glock has used “deceptive marketing” to promote the use of switches, small devices that make a semi-automatic handgun fully automatic. With switches, according to city officials, the guns can fire up to 1,200 rounds per minute.

The lawsuit seeks civil penalties and a court order to stop what it called Glock’s “predatory and misleading marketing practices.”

  1. How the Biden admin enabled the Old Dominion terrorist… [note: the terrorist had tried to purchase a gun from an FFL and got rejected because his NIC’s check showed the felony conviction – that part worked correctly. But, he found this guy who could legally purchase guns, still, and the terrorist had him get a gun for him. An unlawful straw purchase through a ‘serial straw purchaser’ that the Biden DOJ, despite catching him and the guy confessing, refused to prosecute which meant the guy could still purchase guns from FFL’s because he didn’t show any disqualifying convictions in NICS’s. This is not the fault of an FFL, its not the fault of gun-owners as overall we too agree with the law against criminal straw purchase, its not the fault of ‘weak gun laws’ or any of that other bile the anti-gun spew. It was pure criminal arming a terrorist, the same type of criminal mindset the left wing politician ignore every day in favor of pursuing persecution of law abiding gun owners.]

So the dude who sold a gun to the terrorist who killed a retired Lt Col in the Army had previously admitted to being a straw purchaser of guns that *checks notes* were used in a homicide and *checks notes again* Biden’s DOJ didn’t prosecute…

That’s right, ladies and gents. The anti-gun Biden administration, which took as many steps as it could find to restrict your gun rights, declined to prosecute a straw buyer who violated federal law, only for that individual to go on and do it again, this time providing it to a man convicted of a felony for trying to help ISIS.

Look, I understand why a ton of people hate the whole ‘enforce the laws that are already on the books’ thing, and I get where they’re coming from, because some of those laws are blatantly unconstitutional.

But on the same token, when they have a law on the books they’re clearly refusing to enforce, such as refusing to prosecute a straw buyer, thus allowing that individual to continue to do the same thing and eventually arming a literal terrorist, you can see why people say that. That’s especially true when the entity that refused to prosecute the straw buy is the same entity that enacted as many anti-gun executive orders as they could conjure up, as well as pushing for the biggest federal gun control package since 1996.

And the thing is, this isn’t even a controversial gun control law. This isn’t something pro-gun groups are clamoring for repealing anytime soon. Enforcing this one arrest might well have prevented an attack that left a man dead and wounded two others.
