There are certain things you should be ready to do at a moment’s notice–shoot, start a fire, and cut. You can’t handle that last one unless you have a good pocket knife, and Bear OPS is here to help with their latest tactical folding knives. New for 2025, Bear OPS has the KATAKTW and NEKAMA folders, and you really can’t go wrong choosing one.

The Bear OPS KATAKTŴ Series includes automatic folding knives with high-performance M390 steel blades. The KATATKW I is made to be lightweight and versatile and features a black drop point blade. Its handle is green G10 and it has a slide lock mechanism for reliable one-handed operation. Other features include a reversible pocket clip, bronze accent ball bearing washers, and Torx screw construction.
There’s also the KATAKTŴ II, which offers two variants: the straight-edge Model AC-2100-ALBK-B and the serrated Model AC-2100-ALBK-BSR. Both knives have black aluminum handles and black drop point blades with orange accents. The final member of the family is the full-sized KATAKTŴ III which has an FDE aluminum handle and reverse tanto blade. Basically, you have your choice of sizes and blade styles.

As for the NEKAMA I, it’s a premium 3 1/4-inch Sandvik 14C28N blade with a modified tanto shape. It features precision ball bearings and ambidextrous thumbstuds. Bear OPS is offering the NEKAMA I in black with orange accent washers and matching lanyard hole or stainless with blue washers and a grey handle.
MSRP for Bear OPS’ latest tactical folding knives depends on the specific model.
