Meprolight is a great optics company known for their clear glass, reliable performance, and user-friendly designs (that last one really does matter). For 2026 the optics manufacturer is launching some new stuff, some enhanced stuff, and a bunch more green options, which is awesome. Oh, and these aren’t all dot sights, either, so if you aren’t normally a dot fan (the horror) keep reading anyway.

Meprolight CABS (Co-Witness Adjustable Back-up Sights) keep your sighting bases covered, even if you’re running a red dot.

For shooters who love red dots but value redundancy, there’s the Meprolight CABS (Co-Witness Adjustable Back-Up Sight). These are flip-up irons designed to be ideal for co-witnessing, but they’re also fantastic on their own.

Meprolight understands that bad stuff happens and if your dot sight goes down, the last thing you need is to start following the point-shooting crowd. The CABS sights are designed to neatly align with 1.5-inch red dot optics and offer windage and elevation adjustment of 1.25 MOA. These are durably built using metal, not plastic, and that front sight? It’s green Swiss tritium.

Do you like red dot sights, but want the actual dot to be, well, green? Good news. Meprolight is adding several pistol dots to the list of models available with more visible green dots. This includes the MPO Pro S, MPO Pro F, and micros MPO S and MPO F. Green dots are ideal for daylight hours and also work better for shooters with astigmatism or other issues that make focusing on red without an awful halo effect impossible.

Meprolight is also making redundancy options for pistol dots with the Mepro CRIS, a set of co-witness iron sights made to go with the company’s red dots. Mepro CRIS irons are self-illuminating with tritium in the front sight and a blacked-out U-Notch rear sight. Current compatibility is with certain GLOCK, SIG, FN, and IWI pistols.

The Mepro M22 Pro is a 2025 newbie that remains popular going into 2026 for its clarity and versatility.

Finally, while it isn’t new-new, there’s the Mepro M22 Pro, a relatively new optic that doesn’t exactly require a battery but includes one for backup. The M22 Pro is self-illuminating and auto-adjusts based on ambient light. Where the CR2032 battery comes in is as backup for low/no-light scenarios where ambient light just isn’t enough. The battery isn’t necessary for the M22 Pro to work, but it gives you a clear edge when you’re in a less than ideal situation.

  1. Meprolight stuff has always aggravated the heck out of me. Its always ‘almost’ what I want but just shy of what I want every time. Its almost like they thought “Hmmm, he wants this so were just gonna build it almost with what he wants but stop shy of doing the whole thing like hes looking for.”
