Well that didn’t take long. Ruger announced the RXM pistol that’s the result of their collaboration with Magpul last month. It’s a modular design with a central “fire control insert” that’s the legal “gun.” It takes GLOCK magazines and lets you swap out grip modules, barrels, slides and such much like other popular modular designs.

Now Magpul’s offering two three EHG RG9 grip module color options for your customizing pleasure.

Last month, Ruger and Magpul released the RXM, a 9mm handgun built for flexibility and customization thanks to its innovative removable Fire Control Insert and the feature-rich Enhanced Handgun Grip (EHG RG9 Grip – Ruger RXM Compact). The RXM provides practical ergonomics, premium features, and quality construction, all at an unbeatable price. Most of its components are also designed to operate in Gen 3-type pistols, so the RXM is compatible with many off-the-shelf accessories. The RXM ships in Grey, but we’ve added three additional classic Magpul colors to allow further customization with versions available in Black, FDE, and ODG.

Switching out one EHG for another is easy, taking less than five minutes. Whichever color you choose, the EHG includes the RXM’s magazine release, release spring, slide-lock spring, and takedown-pin spring already preinstalled. The EHG’s features include ¾-scale Magpul TSP texture in key locations for a more tactile grip and increased recoil control, a built-in magazine release scallop for quicker magazine changes, and an undercut trigger guard for better purchase. The magazine well is compatible with OEM GLOCK magazines and Magpul GL9 magazines, and it’s flared for faster and easier reloading. Because the RXM is geared toward self-defense, the heel of the EHG RG9 grip sports a carry bob to minimize printing. Towards the muzzle, a universal rail built into the frame allows mounting of accessories such as lights and lasers.
