In the dead of night at Clarksville’s Trenton Village apartments, one would-be tough guy learned that his size doesn’t matter when it comes to victimizing single women. After all, it’s Clarksville, a military town where a disproportionate segment of the community know, love and embrace their God-given gun rights. That’s foreshadowing, in case you missed it.
Anyway, WSMV reported on how some unnamed genius decided smashing his way into a woman’s apartment at 1:40 a.m. was a great idea. Maybe he thought he could score some prescription drugs. Or maybe he had non-consensual romance on his mind and thought he could catch a vulnerable woman. Either way, he probably wasn’t thinking about Darwin.
But his victim had a vote in the matter. And boy, did she ever exercise that vote.
A female resident at the village told officers that the man had broken into her apartment, so she confronted him and shot him, according to Clarksville PD’s report.
She grabbed her gun and shot the home invader multiple times. Some of the rounds hit the intruder’s backside as he reflexively spun away from the source of the searing pain she inflicted on him.
This woman wasn’t going to allow some dumb mope to turn her house into his personal crime scene. She stood her ground and introduced him to the concept of the Castle Doctrine. It was glorious.
Mr. Intruder got a not-so-free helicopter ride to a Nashville hospital in very serious condition. His family must be so proud of their kin making the local news.
Bottom line: It’s a lot harder to victimize a girl who shoots. And this woman is an absolute legend. No tears, no submission, no waiting for someone else to save her. She met evil with decisive action and sent the intruder packing with a few new holes. In a world that sometimes pushes victimhood as a lifestyle brand, she said “not today” and reminded everyone that self-reliance still reigns in places like Tennessee.
It’s another example of how real Americans know that the only thing that stops bad people with evil in their hearts is a good guy (or gal, in this case) with a gun. It’s also another example of how firearms are used defensively five times more often than they are criminally.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
