Armed Illegal Arrested Near White House, Says Voices Told Him to Kill Trump

Ronny Yordrix Guanipa Chrinos was napping in a stolen blue Ford F-150 on Constitution Avenue when the Secret Service woke him up. It was nearly midnight on November 5.

The truck had been reported stolen in South Carolina. Inside it: an AR-15-style rifle, a Mac-10, a GLOCK 43X, and dozens of rounds of ammunition…none of it legal in the District of Columbia.

When officers asked if he had weapons, he nodded and made a finger-gun gesture. Then, through Google Translate, he explained that the voices in his head had ordered him to drive to Washington and kill President Trump.

Mr. IllegalWithFourNames also said a number of other things, not all of them passed the believability sniff test. He claimed wanted to turn the guns over to the government, that he’d bought them, that he’d been living in the truck, and that the vehicle belonged to his boss. One thing was certain: the guns were real and so was he.

Turns out Chrinos is a 26-year-old Venezuelan who crossed the Texas border illegally in March 2024, got picked up by Border Patrol, and was promptly released into the United States under the Biden administration. Now, a little over two years later he was parked a few blocks from the White House with three firearms and an assassination mission whispered to him by imaginary friends.

DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin noted the obvious: this criminal illegal alien had no business being in the country at all.

This is the gun control “success story” in one snapshot. Law-abiding Americans in D.C. and elsewhere face waiting periods, registration schemes, magazine bans, and “assault weapon” prohibitions that keep rifles and standard-capacity pistols out of the hands of people who fill out all the forms and pass the background checks.

None of those laws prevented an illegal alien living out of a stolen truck from acquiring an AR-pattern rifle, a Mac-10, and a GLOCK and parking them within walking distance of the leader of the free world. The laws that slow down or disarm the good guys aren’t even speed bumps to a guy who doesn’t care about paperwork.

The Biden catch-and-release machine did its part. An illegal crosser is detained, processed, and released with a notice to appear years later—if ever. Some percentage of those illegals go on to commit further crimes. Some of those acquire guns. An even smaller percentage drive to the capital because “voices” told them to.

The system treats the first step as somehow just and compassionate and the last step as an unfortunate one-off. The Secret Service treated it as a threat and ended it before anyone got hurt. That’s not a policy victory, it’s a narrow miss enabled by the earlier policy choices of people no longer in office.

Chrinos now faces a stack of charges—carrying a rifle outside a home or business, multiple counts of unregistered firearms and ammunition, carrying a pistol without a license, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, theft, receiving stolen property—plus an ICE detainer. He’s being held in custody by U.S. Marshals. The voices have been temporarily interrupted. The gun control policies that did nothing to stop him from illegally obtaining his firearms have not.
