Falling Murder Rates Show Gun-Grabbers Have Been Humiliated by Reality

philly crime stats

Many people aren’t really appreciating how much homicide is falling in the United States. While overall crime may be up, you can’t hide homicides by downgrading them or otherwise fudging the reporting. It’s a pretty spectacular decline and we will likely see our lowest national homicide rate either ever, or in many decades in 2025.

City-level data confirms this. Philadelphia is at 203 homicides on the year so far. That’s down from 241 at this point last year, and a peak of 510 at this point in 2021. The next lowest year to date total was 2013, which had 222 homicides as of November 30.

Other cities show the same trends. This decline has happened alongside the greatest expansion of carry rights ever, with several states being forced to issue carry permits for the first time starting in 2022, and many other states moving to constitutional carry.

The idea sold by the gun control industry that expanding carry rights is somehow dangerous and will increase crime has been totally obliterated. The grabbers repeatedly made their sky-is-falling predictions and have been utterly humiliated by reality.

  1. BREAKING 2A NEWS! PRESIDENT TRUMP & DOJ MOVE TO CRUSH ANTI-GUN LAWS! [note: such laws against training with firearms, i.e. collective training or individually]

Under the 2nd Amendment, the American people have the right to train with firearms—together and individually. Mark Smith, Four Boxes Diner, discusses the Trump administration adopting this view.

  2. The left wing, the self-appointed wing of crime and violence and terrorism, brings us more left wing violence and terrorism: A Close Call – Delaware University Student Found With ‘Machinegun,’ [i.e. a glock with a ‘switch’] Plans for Major Terror Attack.

Police searched the Tacoma and found several items inside, including a loaded handgun, extended magazines, body armor, a laptop and binoculars.

They also found a notebook, which allegedly contained notes on warfare techniques, assault plans, and a diagram of the University of Delaware Police Department.

The man, 25-year-old Luqmaan Khan, turned out to be a University of Delaware student. It gets worse:

According to police, the notebook also mentioned a member of the University of Delaware Police Department by name and included a drawing of the department’s building with entry and exit points.

Federal authorities were contacted and searched his home, where they allegedly found a handgun equipped with an illegal “switch” to convert it into a machine gun.

Within the vehicle, officers discovered a firearm, ammunition, and a composition notebook. In the handwritten notebook, Khan discussed additional weapons and firearms, how they could be used in an attack, and how law enforcement detection could be avoided once an attack was carried out.

      1. He has been described by some sources as a “Pakistani National” but that’s not been verified by enough sources yet. So don’t know yet for sure but the when he was arrested he said martyrdom ‘was a goal’ and the name ‘Luqmaan’ is derived from and rooted in middle east culture Islamic tradition, in Islam ‘martyrdom’ is a thing that’s actually part of their overall religion. ‘Luqmaan’ is derived from the Arabic word “laqama,”, there are two variations of ‘Luqmaan’ and ‘Luqman’ that differ only with an extra ‘a’ in one variation but both have the same root in the Arabic word “laqama’ and same significance in middle east culture Islamic tradition. The surname ‘Khan’ is common among muslims in South Asia of Afghan descent, but it also appears regionally elsewhere to a lesser extent but mostly always in those regional Muslim cultures. The name ‘Luqmaan Khan’ (with two ‘a’) also appears in the regional Pakistani muslims culture. So he might be a “Pakistani National” or another country or someone who changed his name in converting to Islam (its not uncommon for someone converting to Islam to change their name to a name connected to Islam)

But I’m gonna hazard a guess and say “Luqmaan Khan” is not a traditional white european name.

        1. Given his may shot we may see the birth of the “white pakistani” as we did with Zimmerman and “white hispanic.”

        2. Ok, more info, he was indeed born in Pakistan but is now a U.S. Citizen. He is named after the sage (Surah Luqman) for whom the 31’st chapter of the Qur’an is named. He was probably named keeping the extra ‘a’ that’s present in some regional muslim areas for the name ‘Luqman’, but maybe the extra ‘a’ was added when he came to the U.S. as it doesn’t change the Islam significance of the name. He said when he was arrested his goal was martyrdom, so given the context and plans he was clearly speaking about ‘martyrdom’ in its Islamic sense as one who ‘kills and is killed’ for Allah (Qur’an 9:111). Luqmaan Khan was clearly intending to kill a number of ‘infidels’ and be killed himself, so that he would be guaranteed a place in paradise.

    1. You could say he had bad luck, man. Had the county police not busted him, the city of Newark (pronounced new-ark) is always swarming with its own police and University of Delaware police when school’s in session. Choosing to attack a police station where a bunch of men with guns hang out one door down from the student center where an officer is always out front directing traffic just shows his level of intelligence.
