Armed Citizen Stops 16-Year-Old Spree Killer in a Bend, Oregon Elementary School

Bend, Oregon school shooting

The 16-year-old walked into Silver Rail Elementary in Bend, Oregon yesterday with a gun and evil in his heart, planning to kill innocent children. He had already fired into a car outside the school. Then he went inside and opened fire.

Three kids and one adult died because a broken, dysfunctional social misfit decided the solution to whatever was wrong with his pathetic life was to murder the smallest people he could find.

He wasn’t a misunderstood victim of society. He was a predator who chose a soft target full of first-graders. Whatever grievance or emptiness drove him, the result was the same: he pointed a firearm at children and pulled the trigger. That choice isn’t complex. It’s evil. The kind of evil that belongs in a body bag, not a jail cell or a courtroom, and not in a headline that treats him as the main character.

Outside the school, a man in a red Tacoma saw what was happening and didn’t keep driving. He armed himself and confronted the shooter.

The misfit fired back, shooting up the truck, and then continued into the school. Inside, an armed citizen—a Good Samaritan with a concealed carry permit—ended the killer’s murder spree. Two people broke gun control laws. One broke the law to kill children. The other broke the law to stop the killing and save as many of them as he could.

Early reports suggest the man was a a parent of one of the students there. He shot the 16-year-old and put him down like a rabid dog before the body count could climb higher. When police arrived roughly three minutes after the first call, the shooter was dead on the floor and the threat was already over, thanks to a good guy with a gun.

Deadly force is the only language these attackers understand.  Not stern warnings. Not “gun free” zone signs. Laws mean literally nothing to them.

An armed adult who saw a child-killer took action and stopped him. Not another group of social justice warriors and “experts,” lamenting how how society had failed the killer. Innocent people — three children and one teacher — still died. Those families will never recover what was taken. But without the armed man who fired back, more families would be planning funerals. Likely a lot more.

The armed citizen who delivered the shots deserves the gratitude of every parent who still has their child. These monsters keep choosing schools because they know the odds favor them doing the most damage until someone with a gun decides otherwise. Thank God that in Bend, someone did. The murders were stopped because of him, not because the killer had a change of heart or ran into a “firearms prohibited” sign.

Look for this story to be well-covered by the mainstream media, with a pillow, given that a lawfully armed good guy stopped the attack. Because that’s how opposing the dominant narrative goes. This will happen even faster if the killer, once identified, turns out to be another gender-confused individual.

and as a result ironically, the one most likely to go to prison in blue anti-gun Oregon is the hero who acted to save lives by using his lawfully carried firearm. I’m pretty sure some mentally ill anti-gun left winger in the Oregon state government somewhere has already been on the line with Brady/Giffords trying to find a way to prosecute this hero, then sue the manufacturer of the [reportedly] shotgun used and the FFL who sold it to the mom.

Anything to keep from blaming the acts of the killer or criminal on the killer or criminal.

Brady/Giffords – always ready to dance in the blood of, and persecute, the innocent.

    1. A Question, I Haz

OR Gov. Tina Kotek reportedly praised the permit holder by saying he “heroically intervened to stop further loss of life.” We also don’t know all the facts yet. I myself have written permission from a local school director/principal to carry concealed on the property, despite the fact that I’m not on staff nor affiliated with the school. This is a legal carve-out for exemption from CA’s GFSZ law.

Let’s wait the usual 48 hours to allow more info to come out.

  2. A Good Guy With a Gun Prevented Further Tragedy at Silver Rail Elementary in Oregon.

“There was a shooting at Silver Rail Elementary in Bend, Oregon, yesterday. A teacher and three schoolchildren were killed during the attack. The shooter, a 16-year-old, was shot and killed by an armed community member, a law-abiding citizen exercising his Second Amendment rights. The shooter gained access to the school by blasting through the locked doors. The community member saw this, reacted, followed the suspect, and then neutralized the threat…
