SHOT 2026: IWI Shows Off New Guns, Silencers

Over at the IWI booth this year we saw quite a few new products, but here are the three that really caught our eye . . .

This bad boy is the Mafteah shotgun. Last year IWI released a shorty version with a pistol grip, but this model has a 14-inch barrel and a full-on Magpul shoulder stock. Yes, it has to be registered as an SBS (short barreled shotgun), but with the $0 NFA tax, that’s much less of a burden than it used to be.

The Mafteah is a 5-round, semi-auto 12 gauge. It’s optics ready and follows much of the Mossberg 500 footprint for furniture and other components.

One great feature is the charging handle, which can be swapped from the left to the right side.

Next up . . .

The Masada Slim is now available in “Commander Elite” flavor, which means it has a machined aluminum frame instead of a polymer one.

It feels very 1911-like in the hand with a similar grip angle and shape.

Unlike a 1911, the Masada Slim is striker-fired with a flat trigger that’s nice and crisp.

It’s optics-ready, as we’ve come to expect in 2026.

The Masada line has always represented a fairly extreme value for the quality, shootability, and reliability of the pistols. This Commander Elite with its machined frame certainly bumps the MSRP well up from the polymer Masadas, but it’s still well in-line with the competition.

Finally, like seemingly everyone else in the industry, IWI now has suppressors. This isn’t actually new to IWI this year but since we’re on the lookout for new cans, they jumped out to us. They offer a complete line with low backpressure designs made of nickel ally and steel and/or titanium, depending on the model. We’ll see if we can get our hands on a couple of loaners for testing.
