I met Kelly Sayre six years ago when she called me. We had a mutual friend in the firearms industry who thought we needed to know each other. She shared some of her story with me and talked about her passion for women’s safety. She wanted to help other women avoid dangerous situations by raising their awareness of their surroundings.
Over the years, we’ve touched base a few times and have followed each other on social media. Fast forward six years and…wow. I am amazed by all she has achieved and by how her passion continues to drive her forward as the founder of a company that leads in situational awareness training.
The Diamond Arrow Group
To see everything Kelly has going on, visit her website. There, you will see what sets this group apart from other training programs or groups touting the term “situational awareness.”
Her group offers training on how everyday people can use the instincts, observations, and decision-making skills they already rely on in daily life, then sharpen them into practical tools that help identify risks early and prevent situations from escalating in the first place.
There are three main parts to Kelly’s offerings on her website: the collective, the book and now the subscription box.
The Collective
The Sharp Women Collective is an online community where women can have conversations, find tips, access training content and more. There are different membership levels, beginning with a free option (Kelly wants to make sure all women have access to her safety training) and extending to a monthly/yearly membership and one-on-one training.

The Book
Kelly wrote her book Sharp Women in 2022 to encourage other women to trust their intuition. It’s not always a stranger who puts you in danger. Sometimes it’s someone you know, who you have a relationship with, or who you see every day. It’s full of real-life examples, lessons and daily habits to help the reader build her situational awareness skills.
The Subscription Box
Just introduced this month is the Sharp Women Subscription Box. It’s a curated, lifestyle-forward collection that integrates situational awareness into daily routines. Each quarterly box is built around a specific theme with the inaugural edition focused on situational awareness, the foundational skill Sayre teaches to women across the country.
There are four boxes currently on the schedule for arrival in the following months:
August – Situational Awareness
November – Home Safety
February – Travel Safety
May – College Safety

As of right now, the first 250 women who enroll in the inaugural box receive a discount on the subscription services and membership in the collective.
More on Kelly
During my conversation with Kelly the other day, I asked her how she addresses physical self-defense training. She admitted she’s not an expert in that field, so when it comes to training, she guides women towards the professionals.
Whether the choice is hand-to-hand, knives, firearms or pepper spray, she wants women to choose what fits their strengths and abilities. I agree, having the right tool to protect yourself and knowing how to use it are important parts of personal safety. The first part of self-defense is avoiding the confrontation; however, have a back-up plan should you need it.
