More than seven years before Robin Westman opened fire on a Catholic school as Mass was underway, killing two children and injuring 17 more worshippers, police were called to a townhouse in the Twin Cities suburb where she lived with her mother.
The heavily redacted police report NBC News obtained from the police department in Eagan, Minnesota, is dated Jan. 26, 2018, and it includes a two-word description explaining why an officer was dispatched to that address: mental health.
It also includes a brief synopsis that reads “assisted Mendota Heights with a check welfare of a juvenile.” Mendota Heights is another Twin Cities suburb.
The name of that juvenile and what exactly prompted police to be summoned to the three-bedroom home on Crane Creek Lane were blacked out in the report.
Two years before the mental health call, police responded to a report of a “criminal offense” at the residence, according to a police report. But beyond noting that the case was closed, the report blacks out all the details describing the event.

Maybe this “protection” of juveniles and omitting their offences should cease. Then, they might not be able to purchase firearms. Mental health and aberrant behavior needs more weight and attention as it detracts from responsible citizenship.

Here’s the thing about mass-shooters – its not about the gun, period. They only want to kill, and that’s what its about.
For example, this trans killer, and even the Nashville trans killer – and 100% of all mass-shooters (in the last 50 years) – have all expressed the same thing, they only wanted to kill and that’s what it was about. Its been the same with every school-shooting in the last 50 years – the situation was always such that the killer without a firearm if they got in and not stopped could have still inflicted injury and death with basically any other weapon, say, like a knife or axe or machete.
The one defining trait for all school shootings in the last 50 years has been for those that inflicted injury or death – there was no one there to stop them quickly enough. And it was the same with this MN trans killer and the Nashville trans killer and Parkland and Uvalde and Columbine, etc…

The shooter apparently applied for a name change when he was 17. So this makes me wonder how much earlier he was ‘experimenting’ with gender. The NY Post had previously reported that Westman had grown tired of being trans and despaired of ever really being a girl.
‘I only keep [the long hair] because it is pretty much my last shred of being trans. I am tired of being trans, I wish I never brain-washed myself,’ he wrote, according to a translation by The Post.
‘I can’t cut my hair now as it would be an embarrassing defeat, and it might be a concerning change of character that could get me reported. It just always gets in my way. I will probably chop it on the day of the attack.’…
‘I regret being trans.. I wish I was a girl I just know I cannot achieve that body with the technology we have today. I also can’t afford that,’ he said.
To sum all this up, Westman was a trans person who regretted experimenting with gender, who regretted brain-washing himself and who thought the whole thing had messed up his head. But at the same time he was still angry at his mother for not immediately coddling him and going along with his trans identity.
‘When I was first out to my mother, she was VERY antagonistic. She really made me hate myself and think I will never be good enough,’ Westman wrote.
‘I remember one day, she said something like, ‘In the future you will look back and feel ridiculous about who you feel like you are inside. You will regret this.’

He’s literally angry about her not affirming the trans identity he regrets adopting. Maybe if Westman hadn’t taken this dark road and had lived a few more years into adulthood he’d have been able to admit his mom was right and tried to steer him in the right direction all along, i.e. to avoid having his head get messed up by gender experimentation.
