Part of the beauty of this new era of expanding silencer ownership is the fact that many companies have been able to specialize their designs to do one thing very well. On that note, Divide Gun Company has launched a new titanium suppressor built for hunters and long-range shooters who want to cut weight without giving up sound suppression.

The Salmon, Idaho-based manufacturer introduced the MTN Lite Ti suppressor last week. It’s machined from 6Al-4V titanium in small batches at Divide’s Idaho facility. The company uses a tubeless, welded design to reduce weight while keeping the structure rated for centerfire rifle use.

A proprietary kinetic diffusion end-cap manages gas flow inside the can. Divide said the end-cap works with the internal baffle geometry to control muzzle report and limit shifts in point of impact.

The MTN Lite Ti is part of what Divide calls a “system approach” to rifle building. The company designs its rifles, custom ammunition, and now its suppressors to function together as a single platform rather than as separate components purchased independently. Andy Techmanski, Divide’s owner, said the suppressor was built to complement the company’s existing rifle line.

At Divide Gun, we designed the MTN Lite Ti Suppressor to maximize the long-range precision of our custom rifles,” Techmanski said. “We wanted more than a standalone silencer. By optimizing vibration and noise reduction to tighten down-range shot grouping, we have successfully delivered a true, uncompromized system approach.

Contrary to how that might sound, Divide said in its official press release that the suppressor isn’t limited to its own rifles. The MTN Lite Ti uses industry-standard 5/8×24 and 1/2×28 threading, allowing it to mount on other manufacturers’ rifles as well.

Divide’s rifle lineup includes the FreemanX TI, a sub-6-pound bolt-action rifle the company says is built for accuracy out to 1,200 yards. The MTN Lite Ti is designed to pair with the FreemanX along with Divide’s custom ammunition line, according to the company.

The suppressor is available in three baffle configurations. The 8-baffle model weighs 14.13 ounces and measures 8.100 inches long. The 6-baffle model weighs 11.93 ounces and measures 6.850 inches. The 4-baffle model weighs 9.73 ounces and measures 5.625 inches.

Divide also offers muzzle brakes and direct-thread adapters in both thread pitches. Titanium suppressors have grown more common among manufacturers targeting backcountry hunters who prioritize cutting weight on rifles carried over long distances at elevation.

The MTN Lite Ti is Divide’s first suppressor release since the company expanded from custom rifles into ammunition manufacturing. Pricing for the MTN Lite Ti ranges from $999 to $1099, depending on baffle configuration. Divide says the suppressor is available for purchase immediately through their website.
