Getting sneak peeks at new and updated products in the run-up to SHOT is always fun. It’s both interesting to learn how products evolve and exciting to see new colors and designs. Last month’s virtual preview of The Original Muck Boot Company’s fall line didn’t disappoint.
Of the many items covered in the presentation, three really caught my eye: the men’s Woodland Pro, women’s Arctic Sport II Mid, and the Muckster Lite Clog. Hunters and anyone who spends time on the range will appreciate how these Original Muck Boot products will make life a little easier and more comfortable.
Woodland Pro
The Woodland Pro has a lot to offer, especially for hunters. First, just like with all Original Muck Boots, they’re 100% waterproof. This isn’t only helpful in wet, muddy environments, but also when it comes time to wash those mud-caked boots off when you get home or back to the cabin. I also find the gusset on the upper back helpful when you want to tuck in your pants or if you have wide calves.
One feature highlighted at the virtual event was the newly developed insoles, the Maxfit Core BioLite footbed. This premium, thicker design is like Original Muck Boot meets the sneaker: this athletic design and fit offer all-day performance and comfort. Plus, the new BioLite foam midsole is lightweight and tough, which helps reduce leg fatigue, which is very helpful for those long walks in and out of the woods.
Arctic Sport II Mid
The Arctic Sport II Mid is available in men’s and women’s sizes. I’ve worn different versions over the years and find them a great boot for times I spend on the range when it’s wet, muddy, snowing or all of the above. They’re warm and comfortable, and the outsole has enough grip to keep me steady on gravel, ice, and mud. Also, as with all Original Muck Boots, cleanup is easy with a hose and a brush when they are really filthy. I really like the new subdued fall colors in the women’s line and am excited to see them in person.
Muckster Lite Clog
You may wonder why I included the clog here, but hear me out. Think about those times when you leave the woods or range with caked-on muddy boots and have to get into your car or walk into a hunting cabin.
Actually, think about the cleanup that has to happen after you get into your car or walk into the cabin. It’s really nice to pull those boots off and slip into a pair of Muckster Lite Clogs.
