If You Don’t Own an AR-15 Rifle, This is the Best Time in Years to Make That Happen

Truth. If you’re over 25 or so, you’ve lived through the good times and the bad, ballistically speaking. We’ve seen peaks and valleys in the prices of guns — AR lowers in particular — and ammo. We’ll see them again. That’s just the nature of things. The pendulum swings. Parties are voted in and parties are voted out. Demand rises and it falls.

You know all of that, of course, but do you know when to take advantage of the troughs? There are a lot of reasons that Stoner’s meisterwerk has become known as America’s rifle. We don’t need to recount them here again (but let’s at least tip our cap to Bill Clinton…nothing makes Americans want something — anything — more than government telling them they can’t have it).

In case you haven’t noticed, we’re in one of those troughs again right now. It doesn’t take a big outlay of cash to buy a complete rifle or the parts to build one yourself (it’s both easy and fun!). AR platform rifles are versatile, reliable, useful, effective and just plain fun. That’s why, according to the NSSF, more than 24 million of them are already out there.

But there are over 250 million adults in the US of A. That means there’s lots of room to grow that number. And now is a as good a time to make that happen as we’ve seen in a long time…unless you live on one of those places.

So look around. Do some Google-fu. Ask your friends. Then get out there and join the happy ranks of America’s AR owners. Not only is it the right thing to do, you’ll be really glad you did.
