Osight — the weapon sight side of the flashlight and weapon light maker Olight — has really built out its line of pistol sights in the last couple of years. After starting out with the first rechargeable red dot back in 2024, they’ve expanded considerably with not only a couple more rechargeable models, but a lot of more conventional, battery-operated red and green dots with different mount options. How many? This many.

Osight’s obviously set out to give customers just about every conceivable option in terms of open or enclosed design, mount type, reticle color, dot size and multi-reticle options.
The latest, just announced today, is the 6 MOA Osight K GN green dot. I’m not going to write a great deal about this sight because it would be virtually the same as we’ve already written about their other non-rechargeable sights (see here, here and here). It’s a well-made, affordable open emitter aiming option with an RMSc mount for pistols.

Don’t judge the dot size by this photo. I can’t seem to get a pic that shows a dot the way your eye sees it IRL. Just know that 1), the Osight K GN’s dot is green, and 2) it’s 6 MOA. That’s a) good because the human eye is about six times more sensitive to green light, and b) the best dot size for a personal defense pistol (IMHO).

The open emitter Osight K GN will mount to any pistol you own with an RMSc mount. And I can only refer you to my earlier Osight SE review — basically the same sight, but with a closed emitter — for a complete discussion of the awesomeness of the screw set that Osight ships along with their sights.

The Osight K GN has a side-loading battery (1620) with auto-off after three minutes of motionlessness and power up on the slightest movement. Brightness adjusts on the left side with two rubberized buttons and ten brightness levels (two are night vision compatible).

We all have our preferences. Some like enclosed emitters and some like open. In the end, you do you. That’s the great thing about the free enterprise capitalist system. You have choices. At least we do, as so many soccer-loving Europoors who’ve come over for the world cup have discovered this summer.
Osight seems to be dead-set on giving pistol sight buyers just about every conceivable option in a weapon-mounted electro-optic. That’s a good thing. And their open emitter, green-dotted Osight K GN is, again, an excellent, affordable option in an aiming dot that gives most buyers everything they need.
