The Army wants more lasers. B.E. Meyers & Co. of Redmond, Washington, has been awarded a contract for 8,936 DAGIR-V1 laser systems under PM Soldier Lethality’s Capability Program Executive – Ground Soldier Systems, supporting the M7 Surrogate Fire Control Program. Delivery is set for GFY2027 as part of the DLA’s Tailored Logistics Support program.

This isn’t B.E. Meyers’ first Army contract. The company previously delivered MAWL-X1 lasers to the Department of War, and CEO Matthew Meyers said the new deal continues that work
These systems, proudly American made, ensure that our Warfighters have multi-function laser technology that supports the clarity, speed, and precision of modern night lethality needs.

The DAGIR-V1 combines a near-infrared illuminator with NIR and visible aiming lasers in a single ruggedized aluminum housing. Specs include an over-bore 40 mW IR pointer and dual 350 mW VCSEL-based IR illuminators rated to cut through dense photonic interference and high ambient light.
Operators can adjust beam divergence and output on the fly without losing their grip on the weapon.

The system runs on B.E. Meyers’ MINIRVA diode platform which uses VCSEL tech for tighter beam projection and sharper illumination. That means better target ID and situational awareness in the field.
US SOCOM already has experience with the DAGIR line, having adopted the V1 under the SAL-UHP program (LA-30) and the V2, which adds a visual laser override button, under MAL-UHP.

B.E. Meyers is a veteran-operated, second-generation US small business in its 52nd year, with design, development, and production all happening at its Redmond headquarters. The company supplies US military branches, law enforcement agencies, and allies in more than 50 countries. They operate under a strict “Made in America” standard alongside an “Anywhere But China” supply chain policy wherever possible.

This is yet another Army contract for another American-made laser system, and one more reason DAGIR keeps showing up on contract lists. Just in time for America’s 250th.
