SHOT Show 2025: Tyrant CNC’s TWS Chassis for P365 and Echelon Pistols

Pistol chassis are becoming a thing. We liked the SIG P320 FLUX-LEGION chassis, which is a SIG-ified version of FLUX Defense’s FLUX Raider X. The idea is to provide a bigger platform for modular pistols, letting you use the fire control group and slide to create a compact PDW style firearm with more onboard capacity and better ergonomics.

You can’t keep a good idea down and the now the folks at Tyrant CNC are developing their take on the idea…a chassis they’re calling the TWS (Tyrant weapon system). The version they were showing at SHOT is still a 3D-printed prototype, but one that’s close to what they anticipate the final version will be.

The first model to come out — they anticipate that will be in May — will be for the SIG P365. It’s an aluminum upper with polymer mag wells, trigger guard, and removable blast shield (handguard). The 1913 Pic rail in the rear will let you attach the stock or brace of your choice.

While pricing isn’t set yet, Tyrant anticipates the TWS for P365 will be about $500, including the brace, which will make it an affordably priced competitor to the FLUX chassis. The Tyrant folks tell us they’re working with holster companies now so you have options when the TWS is available in May and they’ll have a list of compatible suppressors on their web site as well.

The 365 obviously isn’t the only modular pistol out there and Tyrant says the next TWS chassis will be made for the Springfield Echelon. Due to its design, the Tyrant folks are looking to make the Echelon chassis entirely out of injection-molded polymer, making it much simpler to produce. They tell us that would let them price the Echelon TWS at about $250.

Expect the Echelon chassis to be available in November. You have to think that a P320 version wouldn’t be too far down the road after that.

  1. The forward notagrip thingy defeats the point of choosing a P365. Why would anyone (who bought a P365 and learned to control it as-is) look at something that adds two additional points of contact and think “I can’t possibly control this without a fourth point of contact!”

      1. But it could fall into the “make your extremely concealable pistol do double-duty as a home defense gun better than any pistol” category if they make the right choices.
