NEXTORCH North America announced the release of its new “Snow Guard” Winter Tactical Gloves last week. The gloves are designed and engineered for users operating in winter conditions. Focusing on delivering warmth, protection, and positive firearm control, the Snow Guard line joins NEXTORCH’s growing range of flashlights and other handy illumination tools, as well as specialized tactical equipment, providing another option for professionals and casual users like me who need functional hand protection when temperatures drop.

The company states that cold-weather performance should not be limited by temperature, bulk, or loss of dexterity. To address this, the Snow Guard gloves incorporate a zoned insulation system with 40 grams of insulation in the palms and 100 grams on the back of the hand. A waterproof-breathable membrane is included to keep moisture out while permitting vapor to escape during extended wear.

Construction features CORDURA stretch fabric for durability, along with reinforced high-wear zones using premium tactical fabrics. The three-layer thermal lock system consists of a durable outer layer, an efficient thermal middle layer, and a soft breathable inner layer. An ergonomic cut, accordion elastic cushioning at the thumb and back of the hand, stretch finger panels, and segmented finger backs are intended to support natural movement and a smooth fist closure.

“Ten-finger touchscreen operation across the full palm allows uninterrupted device use,” the release notes, with the index fingertip optimized for precise control. Additional practical touches include a water-resistant stay-dry layer and an inner lining that wicks moisture. Anti-loss features comprise a middle finger loop, wrist D-ring, glove pairing clip, and an optional anti-loss cord.

The gloves are available in sizes S, M, L, XL, and XXL with an MSRP of $47.99.
Key features listed by NEXTORCH include:
- Cold Weather Performance: resilient design for extreme conditions
- Ergonomic Design: tailored fit conforms naturally to your hand
- Ten-Finger Touchscreen Compatibility: conductive fiber ensures effortless device use
- Seamless Fingertip Construction: eliminates bulk, enhances sensitivity and dexterity

Thanks, but no. I’m sure they do what the company says, but plastering a big company logo in a bright color on ‘tactical’ gear makes it more of a ‘fashion billboard advertisement’ thing that I’m not fond of for tactical gear.
