Aimpoint just released another new red dot sight. This time it’s the ACRO C-2, a low-profile, lightweight red dot optic, and it’s made specifically for rifle and carbine use.
The ACRO C-2 uses a 2.5 MOA dot for rapid target acquisition. It’s designed to fit Picatinny rails and comes with all of the accessories needed to mount it to your carbine. You have a choice of either a Reptilia Lower 1/3 Mount, a Scalarworks 1.57” Mount, or a B&T 39mm Mount.
The C-2 is powered by a single CR2032 battery that gives the user an impressive always on battery life that last for over 5 years (50,000 hours) of continuous use. The optic powers on at an optimal setting 7, but the user can adjust the brightness for present conditions. There are 8 daylight settings with no automatic shutoff or ambient light adjustments, as well as 2 night vision compatible settings. The ACRO C-2 has flush-mounted windage and elevation dials with with tactile clicks for easy zeroing.
Aimpoint tested the ACRO series to withstand the G-force produced by on a .40 S&W semi-automatic pistol slide for 20,000 rounds. Recoil impulse on most gas operated 5.56mm and PCC rifles and carbines shouldn’t prove to be any challenge. Aimpoint has long been a top choice for hunters, law enforcement and the military because of their optic’s ruggedness and reliability.
The ACRO C-2 has an MSRP of $599.00 withe the mount of your choice, and all models are available now. For more information on the ACRO C-2 optic, visit the company’s webpage: www.aimpoint.us.
