‘PROTECTED BY GOD AND A GUN’: 3 Thugs Motivated To Beat a Hasty Retreat in California Home Invasion

A trio of masked thugs broke into a multi-million dollar home in the Hollywood Hills near Los Angeles Thursday evening.  A sign on the property warned that, “This house is protected by God and a gun. Screw around and you’ll meet both,” should have offered the young scholars a clue to pick another house. But to be fair, they probably couldn’t read.

Anyway, the trio forced their way in around 10:30 and not fifteen seconds after making entry, they had poked the bear and the bear opened fire. All three of the felons fled in great haste.

LAPD arrived minutes later, collected a crowbar as evidence, took a report and then left.

KTLA has more:

Three masked intruders were caught on camera breaking into a Hollywood Hills home late Thursday night while, unbeknownst to them, a family was inside, relaxing for the night.

The thieves broke in after bypassing the front gate, which displayed a bold warning: “This house is protected by God and a gun. Screw around and you’ll meet both.”

The break-in happened around 10:30 p.m. on May 29. Surveillance footage shows the thieves – wearing masks, gloves and hoodies – scaling a tall wall to reach the front entrance.

They used a crowbar to smash through a glass panel and unlock the door from the inside.

What the suspects didn’t realize was that several residents were inside the house at the time in the downstairs rooms. The calm was abruptly shattered when the intruders made noise upstairs, prompting a near-confrontation.

Security footage captured loud clamor – sounding comparable to gunfire – as the suspects ran off. However, despite the message on the sign, the homeowners did not fire any weapons during the incident.

The family was interviewed by the local mainstream media outlet and had plenty to say about what the intrusion has done to their psyche – none of it good.

Like Kevin Dalton wrote in his post on X:  “There are no more safe places in Gavin Newsom‘s lawless California.”

As for arrests, none have been reported…meaning these wolves are still out there preying on decent people.

according to the linked article it says “… the homeowners did not fire any weapons during the incident” but it sure sounded a little like weapons fire in the surveillance video.

They fled, free to home invade another day because the cops are probably not going to catch them. They are all covered up and facial recognition might not work, they are wearing what looks like maybe cold weather or work gloves so no finger prints. If that same situation had happened here at a minimum at least one of the bad guys was going to the hospital or morgue with several rounds in him.

    1. ” they had poked the bear and the bear opened fire. All three of the felons fled in great haste.”
“opened fire” doesn’t mean the fireplace was opened.

    1. It is not. I live in the very liberal bay area and everybody I know has a gun. It is amazing how many guns there are here.

CA is like mexico. It is a broken and failed state with a corrupt and out of touch .gov. Everything is illegal here. As a result nobody obeys the law. Including the gun laws. You could not function here on a day to day basis if you followed the rules and regs.

It is a sad state of affairs but until a good cleansing hits the halls of .gov nothing will change.

  2. Maybe they saw the signs about guns and that is what they went in after. My $ 0.02 is that you do not advertise that you are armed. Guns are a high value item on the black market (I suspect), and would be easily sold.
