Imagine the surprise of Seattle PD officers who investigated a man slumped behind the wheel of his Escalade early yesterday morning. As they peered inside the car, they noticed a handgun and “drug paraphernalia” in the center console next to the man.
They eventually woke him up, questioned him, and took him in. As the SPD reports . . .
After a search of the vehicle, officers recovered a .45 caliber handgun, 10 magazines of ammo, a silencer, holster and two rifle magazines.
It isn’t clear how the unidentified man used the suppressor. We’ve never tried to hold one in front of a pistol while firing it and have no plans to try that at any point in the future, no matter how many Instagram hits that may generate.
This part of the police report will come as quite a shock . . .
The suspect is lawfully prohibited from possessing a firearm.
He was booked in the King County Jail for unlawful possession of firearms and DUI-physical control.
What are the chances that the man lawfully possessed (and paid the $200 tax on) that can, too? Or that the ATF will be pursuing the case?
“…they peered inside the car, they noticed a handgun and “drug paraphernalia” in the center console next to the man.”
The console lid was open? Or the cops have X-ray eyes?
The most shocking fact in this article is that they still have a police force in Seattle. I heard they all had found jobs elsewhere.
