Remember that popular Disney show That’s So Raven, which aired from 2003 to 2007? Okay, you probably aren’t exactly in the target audience for the show, but how about the 2008 comedy Role Models featuring Paul Rudd, Sean William Scott, Elizabeth Banks, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse? I bet you remember that one. Anyway, they also featured actor Bobb’e Thompson, who’s now headed [back] to prison on gun charges.
Quite the fall from grace. Thompson has at least 50 actor credits across television and movies, including some big ones like 30 Rock, The Tracy Morgan Show, Tyler Perry’s House of Payne . . . and then it went more toward rolls in B movies.
And now, according to Fox:
Thompson, 30, was arrested in northern Iowa on September 22, 2025, after law enforcement spotted him going 104 mph in a 70 mph zone, the DOJ explained in a statement. The officer who stopped Thompson alleged the actor and his passenger had switched seats after being pulled over and reported being able to smell marijuana coming from the vehicle, the statement continued.
While searching the vehicle, law enforcement reported finding multiple bags of marijuana that were purchased at a dispensary and a loaded .40-caliber handgun that had been reported stolen from a vehicle in Kansas City, Missouri. Thompson, who lives in Kansas City, had a criminal history that included 2020 convictions for battery with serious bodily injury and assault with force, prosecutors noted. He was also convicted in 2022 of prohibited possession of a firearm.
Oh boy. So Bobb’e caught felonies in 2020, which made him a prohibited person. At that point, possessing a firearm is a felony in and of itself for him, yet he got pinched for that in 2022. And then again one year ago. His sentence for that offense was just handed down, and this time it looks like he’s heading back to the clink.
Again from FOX:
Bobb’e Thompson was handed a 30-month prison sentence by a federal judge in Iowa after pleading guilty in April to possession of a firearm by a felon, according to the Department of Justice. He will also spend three years of supervised release after he gets out.
The lesson: don’t commit crimes, kids. This guy reportedly has a net worth of around $2.5mm and still has (had?) an acting career with fairly regular roles, including a couple more in the hopper. It isn’t clear how production will be affected by his time behind bars. Quite the role model, indeed.
So. Here is an example of a marijuana related crime. He was intoxicated. How long would it have taken, for him to just crash into the rear end of any vehicle, in front of him???
The pot heads kill people all the time. So do drivers who drink to much.
That “freedom thing” that pot heads like to talk about all the time. They keep refusing to accept the consequences and responsibilities, that come with it.
