Life in Chicago: While the Mayor Attacks ICE Agents, Gangs Shoot Up Their Rivals in Broad Daylight

We have another video masterpiece of peace and urban harmony from Chicago, otherwise known as America’s largest open-air shooting gallery. While Mayor Brandon Johnson continues to rail against ICE agents rounding up criminal illegals in his dystopian city, four gang members opened up on a rival’s car shortly after noon just across town from hizzoner.

While the shooters only perforated their intended target in the butt-tocks, they did successfully kill the man’s girlfriend with their fusillade of lead. Thankfully and miraculously, the bangers with the blasters somehow missed the toddler in the back seat.

Gabryel Ayers, 26, was driving the car with heavily tinted windows. She was unlucky enough to run into the heavily armed urban scholars who used the white car as target practice. The video showed at least one shooter used a full-auto blaster and a couple of more were firing rifle-caliber handguns.

Perfectly normal day in the city, an isolated incident as the Mayor would say.

The video has made the rounds, though probably not the evening news. It’s high drama, of the Old West style. The shooters sprint up, blast away, hop back in their ride, then start to drive away in their Jaguar. But these gents are over-achievers. They paused long enough to stop and continue to fire on the disabled vehicle without a worry in the world that witnesses saw them or that police might happen upon them. Welcome to crime without consequences.

Cook County Crime Stoppers have dangled a $10,000 reward offer for tips leading to an arrest, but in a city where the overwhelming culture is one of “snitches get stitches,” ratting out the bangers who did this might earn someone a bunch of C-notes, but they probably won’t live long enough to spend it.

Here’s the story behind the video from CWB Chicago:

Gabryel Ayers was sitting in a vehicle in the 7900 block of South May Street around 1:30 p.m. when three masked gunmen approached and opened fire, according to video of the attack. Ayers was struck multiple times throughout her body and later died at Loyola University Medical Center.

A 27-year-old man in the vehicle suffered gunshot wounds to his buttocks and arm and was taken to Christ Hospital in good condition, police said. A young child who was also inside the vehicle at the time of the shooting was not injured.

Video footage captured by a passing motorist and shared online by Chicago Critter shows the gunmen dressed in black clothing emerging from a red car and rushing toward the victims’ vehicle while firing. After returning to their getaway car, the driver stopped near the crashed vehicle to allow the gunmen to fire additional shots at the victims.

The local politicians who enable gang violence in the Windy City will lament this as more “gun violence.” But anyone with Forrest Gump’s IQ or above knows that this is just more gang violence, plain and simple. And these gang members don’t care one bit about the latest gun control measures passed in the Illinois state capitol.

A not-so-bold prediction: There will be no marches, candlelight vigils, or autonomous zones set up at the site of this murder. Instead it’s just another day in Chicago’s long-running saga of almost exclusively black-on-black gang violence.

Rest in peace Gabryel Ayers. We hope and pray her killers will be identified. Likewise, we hope the political leaders of Illinois one day admit what everyone who can read their diploma already knows: the problem isn’t the guns; it’s the gang-bangers gleefully using them to turn the city’s neighborhoods into shooting galleries.

But be sure to keep blaming the guns. That’ll solve everything.
