WARNING: Being a Liberal Gun Owner Means Being Forced to Participate in the Capitalist System

psa palmetto state armory logo

There is no ethical consumption under capitalism.

This is not a defense of companies like PSA, IWI, Spiritus Systems, etc., but rather a defense of the people who *have* to buy from them. The reality of being a liberal gun owner, especially in the United States, is that you are going to have to buy from company who’s [sic] beliefs [do] not align with yours. If you are in a position in life to be able to afford guns and ammo from an entirely left leaning company, that’s awesome and I hope you continue to do so. The unfortunate reality is some people cannot afford that, and need to buy a $400 AR from PSA.

Flaming people about buying from these brands is discouraging discussions and posts and is bad for the community. You can inform people about the views, etc. of the companies without attacking the individual who posted.

I hope this opens a dialogue regarding the topic, and not just a flame war.

Cheers everyone.

“If you are in a position in life to be able to afford guns and ammo from an entirely left leaning company,”

No such thing as “an entirely left leaning company” that manufactures or sells guns. ‘manufactures or sells guns’ is not an exercise in political orientation, its an exercise in exercising the second amendment and participating in the free enterprise system and they will take your money just as “companies like PSA, IWI, Spiritus Systems, etc.” will.

“”companies like PSA, IWI, Spiritus Systems, etc.”‘ there is not one gun owner who ‘*have* to buy from them’ no matter their political orientation. No one twisted their arms, its a choice they made, the same choice you made to exercise the second amendment.

Stop telling your self fairy tales trying to frame yourself as some sort of ‘victim’ of your own choices. That’s the real reason you want to start this missive asking for others to jump in – you want validation of your self-imposed ‘victim’ status.

      1. “No such thing as “an entirely left leaning company” that manufactures or sells guns”
There’s always Taurus, who directly participated in a socialist dictator’s takeover of their home country to keep their state monopoly. Plenty of state arsenals, but the only ones that will sell to random person in the US I can think of are Chinese shotguns (though their importers and FFLs likely disqualify them)

  1. The left are simultaneously the victims of everything, the saviors of everything and wracked with the guilt of by virtue of their being humans the cause of all the worlds ills.

One wonders why more don’t neck themselves? Unless of course they’re all just being disingenuous whiny children who don’t actually have any convictions beyond hating their parents.

Keep posting the comments from Liberal gun owners. Sunlight is the best disinfectant.

They never ever were supporters of the 2A.
They are voters for Biden-Harris Clinton ever single time.

And same for the libertarians. Twice they have run anti-civil rights presidential candidates.

The KKK had guns too. But they also were not supporters of the second amendment.

Liberals, overall, are pretty stupid to begin with with because there are lots of holes in the way they think that they do not see, but most are too stupid to stop being liberals and see the holes in the way they think even when their liberal ideology attacks their own family:

How Racial Justice ‘Warriors’ Ignored Facts, Falsely Maligned Two 6th Graders.

“Mike Klotz is a teacher. He wears black rimmed glasses, a black beanie pulled back on his head. He sports black and white sneakers as footwear. He casts a hipster feel. If what you wear could offer a “tell,” Mike’s look screams a progressive teacher. And Mike describes himself as a hardcore liberal – even after his neighbors, his school district and its superintendent maligned his son as a racist-adjacent. “The truth didn’t matter,” said Mike. Unfortunately, we’ve seen this story before. The truth was an afterthought. Evidence proved that Klotz’s son and another boy were both innocent, but in the cult of progressives, once accused, evidence that you are not a “racist” is irrelevant. That ink is indelible. The entire Klotz family was tarred, then tossed under the progressive bus and forced to move.

Democrat temper tantrum: Outrageous Increase Of NFA Tax Introduced In Senate.

Senator Chris Murphey has introduced HR3944 to drastically increase the tax stamp from 0 to an outrageous number adjusted for inflation ($4,709.00). This is to push back against the HPA and SHORT in the One Big Beautiful Bill.

LA County Slammed in Federal Court for Violating Gun Rights.

The CRPA’s legal team just landed a major win in federal court—and it’s a game changer for CCW holders across California. In the lawsuit against the LA County Sheriff’s Department, the judge ruled in favor of CRPA, affirming its standing to sue on behalf of its members and rejecting LA’s attempt to delay, dodge, and deny concealed carry permits.

“There is no ethical consumption under capitalism.”

    1. All systems have something that costs something and are ultimately ‘capitalism’ in nature. For example, communism is a ‘capitalism’ system that’s paid for by the forced subjugation of its people and the seized control of their production to serve the will of the state to keep the state functioning. Where ever there is something given for something, in any ‘society’ – its at its roots ‘capitalism’

    2. There is actually no such thing as ‘ethical consumption’. There is consumption unchecked, there is consumption checked, there is consumption by choice. Any ‘ethical’ matters are simply in the eye of the beholder.

    3. The statement “There is no ethical consumption under capitalism” is a false logic statement. The very fact that people can choose to not buy a gun in our free-enterprise system because they do not support the second amendment is a personal self choice ‘ethical’ decision to not ‘consume’ thus ‘ethical consumption’ because in the basic four points of the ‘ethical consumption’ view point is NOT ‘participating’ in those things which do not suit your liking.

    1. .40 cal Booger

‘ethical consumerism’ and ‘ethical consumption’ are two different things.

Ethical consumerism is a type of consumer activism choice based on the concept of dollar voting. In this idiot liberal missive he/she/it says this with “This is not a defense of companies like PSA, IWI, Spiritus Systems, etc., but rather a defense of the people who *have* to buy from them. The reality of being a liberal gun owner, especially in the United States, is that you are going to have to buy from company who’s [sic] beliefs [do] not align with yours. If you are in a position in life to be able to afford guns and ammo from an entirely left leaning company, that’s awesome and I hope you continue to do so.”

Ethical consumption is the practice of choice to purchase/support products/things that are made/presented in a way that reflect the persons personally held values and those personally held values are the ‘ethical’ choice for them. For example, in the pro-gun community we make the choice to buy guns in the free enterprise system ‘capitalism’ to exercise our second amendment right – that’s a choice of personally held value ‘ethic’ so we have ‘ethical consumption under capitalism’ by our ability to make a choice. And that’s all ‘ethical consumption’ is when it comes down to it, people making a choice using their own personally held values.

This liberal idiot doesn’t understand the difference. He/she/it starts their stupid missive with “There is no ethical consumption under capitalism.” when in reality there is always ‘ethical consumption under capitalism’ that this idiot says exists in his/her/its missive. And then the whole thing is about ‘ethical consumerism’ and then endorses choice, basically, ‘as long as you buy a gun’ …. directly not supporting and disproving his beginning line of “There is no ethical consumption under capitalism” which is a false logic statement and his whole missive.

All liberals have these types of logic holes in their thinking and do not see the holes in their thinking logic.

  7. Charles Valenzuela

Why do you think that you should be concerned when the outfit you are buying from doesn’t have the same liberal ideas that you carry? You think you automobile manufacturer, or dealer have the same vales that you love? Speaking of love, do you really think the illegal alien (likely a wanted criminal in his home country) has your same leftist values? Is it that important to you? Maybe you should immigrate to China and only buy Chinese-made and sold items, eh?

  8. What, exactly, are the hallmarks of “an entirely left leaning company” that sells or makes guns and ammo?

Your politics are really none of my business as long as they don’t interfere with me or my life. I don’t generally care about the politics of any company with which I do business unless they’re doing something overt that’s grossly at odd with my beliefs.

    Got DEI policies? Don’t care.
Donate to Democrats (or Republicans)? Don’t care.
Give to LBTQXYZ groups? Don’t care.
Don’t give to LBTQXYZ groups? Don’t care.

Refuse me entry because of my 2A beliefs or because I carry? Okay, THAT I care about.

  9. “You can inform people about the views, etc. of the companies without attacking the individual who posted.”

And, just where, pray tell, is the fun in that??
