It all started with this. Nothing really unusual here, just Daddy Bloombucks’ Everytown doing what they’re paid to do…attempting to stir up their low-information, red-shirted, wine-swilling membership in the run-up to the midterms. The goal is to elect more “gun sense” candidates that will be reliable automatons, voting to restrict your gun rights and outlaw America’s most popular firearms.
Because “gun safety.” Or something. Just another day ending in ‘y.’
Anyway, that’s when Evertown’s chief flack — Max Steele, their Senior Director of Communications, who probably wrote the initial tweets anyway — added his two cents from his personal account, amplifying what he’d already said.

If you’re wondering, Cekada was probably talking about Democrat campaign talking points like this . . .

And who should enter the chat at that point? Why, none other than ATF Director Robert Cekada himself, objectively the most gun rights-friendly head of the firearms regulatory agency we’ve ever seen.

Steele, being the a smug, bottom-feeder he is, clearly never expected Cekada to take exception to his trolling, let alone crack back at him publicly. All Steele could think of at that point was to criticize Cekada for…responding to his shitposting.
That prompted Cekada to come right back at him from the top rope . . .
LOL, you talk crap to me and then your mad that I responded. I am on my time, and I am exercising my 1st amendment right to call you and idiot. I responded to a message from trash talking, fact twisting BS artist. I am not one of you loyal readers and will NEVER waste my time…

Look, we know lots of you don’t believe ATF should exist at all, but how can you possibly be blackpilling when the man who runs the federal firearms regulatory agency kicks back with an adult beverage on a Friday evening and takes time to bang out a few tweets slamming one of Michael Bloomberg’s paid mouthpieces and calling him an idiot?

President Trump has started something that may or may not continue when he leaves office. Republicans who REALLY fight back in public. It’s extremely refreshing to watch.
I’d love to see several federal departments just go away. But “destroying” them internally seems to be the next best thing. In the short term.
“Lmao,” “LOL,” and “your” instead of “you’re.” And the healthcare take wasn’t great. He should hire a speechwriter and someone to run his social media.
Sure, Dems don’t have realistic solutions, but they know how to message around real concerns. Republicans still haven’t figured out how to talk about healthcare. They come across as uncaring about people’s real concerns. That’s a big part of why they lose.
“1st amendment right to call you and idiot.”
Should be ‘an’ idiot.
he was exercising his right to idiot.
but never go full ‘tard.
I can relate to the difficulty.
Most people are idiots and it’s difficult to explain nuance to them.
My employer several years ago brought in a new health insurance program. Previously we were reimbursed for out of pocket costs. That went away. The new program covered all the costs up front eliminating the need for reimbursement.
By far the vast majority of employees simply heard “no more reimbursement” and panic followed. Endless emails, meetings and clarification sessions later and no one could be made to see. To this day years later people will complain about how they were cheated.
Extremely frustrating to share this life with these people.
I do think that “Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms” should exist. It’s just that it should be a convenience store chain, not a government agency.
you left off “stuff that goes boom!”
