[violent left wingers like this guy pretty much stay away from our area. They have a pretty good idea that we will shoot them.]

Left winger violence: Who is Harry Dresden? Concerning ring cam footage goes viral as Jason Thomas Nichols trends in wake of Fairfield doorbell incident.

The ring camera footage of a man supposedly named Harry Dresden is going viral on the internet. The video showed the man’s outburst in front of a house in Fairfield, California, on Apr. 7. He identified himself as Harry Dresden and asked the homeowner where his daughter was.

As the owner refused to answer, Harry Dresden threatened to break the door and ‘end’ him. Dresden also asked ‘who was in there’ and whether everyone inside was okay.

In the viral clip, the man screamed, broke the doorbell, and kicked the door, demanding that the homeowner open it. At one point, Harry mentioned that he lived in the neighborhood, which was not true, as the man inside confirmed that he had never seen Harry before.

The viral ring cam man is not named Harry Dresden. He was arrested on Apr. 7 by the Fairfield Police Department, and his real name is Jason Thomas Nichols.

The jail records show that Nichols has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon causing great bodily injury, first-degree burglary, terrorizing, and vandalism. Jason’s bail is $35,000, and his next court appearance is scheduled for Apr. 13.

    1. When the little woman gives me some ‘Or Else’, I feel like I may have been deeper in space than the just returned astronauts due to all the stars I see.

    1. After “Harry Dresden” comes through the door (or window?), at that point #1 buck shot is the only appropriate reply. Either 12 or 20 gauge will deliver that message nicely.

  3. uncommon_sense

This is a good example of how a seemingly mild-mannered and decent person can suddenly go berserker.

Never, ever, open your door to a stranger, no matter how nice and polite he or she may seem.

  4. The clip last 2:39.

A call to 911 takes maybe 15 seconds.

In my town, cops will respond to this in 2 minutes, easy.

  5. Beat the daylights out of fatboy? That’s my solution. A clown like that doing that to my front door? He won’t like it when he gets his wish and I open the door….

Apparently, his mother forgot to give him his Ritalin

  6. I showed this to my wife to reinforce what I have always said:
    1. Never open the door except for family or uniformed police
    2. Make sure you have your sidearm and cell phone with you
    3. Call 911, then retreat to the bedroom, which has a clear view of the front door
    4. Don’t open up until you see flashing lights and the cameras show the porch is clear

  7. Eventually, the guy got into the house. The homeowner confronted him with a shovel. Struggle ensued with both having head injuries. Perp was arrested, charged with several felonies, $35k bail. In N.C., that would have been justified as a good shoot. Too bad it was CA.

  8. This story gets crazier. The homeowner called 911 and raced home, beating the police there. Meanwhile, psycho had managed to get in through a sliding glass door. Homeowner armed himself with a shovel and went after psycho to protect his wife and child. Both he and psycho had head injuries by the time the cops arrived, but wife and child weren’t physically harmed.

Psycho was arrested and charged with multiple violent felonies.

No word yet (at least that I’ve heard) whether this was mental illness, drugs, or both.
