Reports that Trump has ordered the DOJ not to appeal the Jensen/Silencer Shop ruling on NFA items — effectively pulling silencers and short-barrel long guns out of the NFA — has all the right people on the anti-gun left desperately looking for the nearest fainting couch. Yet all this performative outrage only reveals how incredibly ignorant these people are.
Their rage is directed at:
1. Suppressors – cans scare them because of Hollywood, not reality. For the most part, most suppressed guns are still quite loud, and suppressors are rarely used in crimes anyway (as even Giffords admits). To the extent they think NFA registration is the reason for that, suppressor sales will still require NICS background checks and will be treated just like firearms.
2. Short barrel rifles (and shotguns – as if a rifle with a 14-inch barrel is some deadly killing machine gangster-weapon because it’s two inches shorter than the non-NFA minimum of 16 inches.
It’s all just so stupid.

Making drugs legal is more important to many gun owners. That’s why many of them voted for the gun control democrats. Eventho it was the republicans who made weed legal. The battle is now over THC.
Industrial hemp was the primary crop in KY for over 300 years. Until the democrat progressive types made it illegal. Over 100 years ago.
I’m anti war too. But my civil rights are far more important to me. Than a US war. Or the US supplying materials for a war.
Libertarian gun owners are happy to have anti-war democrats in office running everything.
And they run colorado california Oregon etc, etc. And your civil rights are going away in those states. But they are making sure you have plenty of “bread and circuses”. To keep everyone distracted. You can have sex in public. You can urinate and defecate in public. You can do drugs in public. All without fear of being arrested. You can steal up to $950 and you will not be arrested. And it doesn’t matter if california changed the law. The damage has already been done. The major cities have been destroyed on the west coast.

“anti-war democrats” did nothing to try to prevent Russia from invading Ukraine. They basically begged for it. Now we have a ruined country, over half a million dead, and about 10 million displaced because of a made up collusion conspiracy and a senile puppet president in office at the time.

For me the mask came off back in the 1990s when Clinton became president. As a republican there were a few democrats I liked back then. But not Bill Clinton.
A draft dodger ordered the military to bomb the former Yugoslavia Killing thousands of unarmed civilians. Men women and children.
When Obama-Biden was bombing children, the democrats and libertarians gave very limited lip service to protesting it.
It was the Kennedy administration that over through the South Vietnam government. And it was the Obama-Biden administration that over through the government in 2014, in the Ukraine.
Everyone votes for democrats. Because they believe the democrats will make drugs legal. And after 16 years of Clinton and Obama that never happened.
But weed was made legal by President Trump. And he gets no credit.
The libertarians for their part, support a diplomatic war against the philippine government. Because that government told its civilian population they could begin killing drug addicts and drug dealers. If they didn’t turn themselves in for treatment.
But the libertarians want the US to stop the diplomatic war against communist Cuba. That government kills addicts and puts them in jail.
