There is nothing that can be banned that can reduce violence. Ever since cavemen Grog figured out he could get what he wanted from caveman Ogg by beating him into submission or death with a rock or stick or bare hands there has been violence.
Humans, specifically the species Homo sapiens, have existed for about 200,000 to 300,000 years – and all during that time there has been violence, and as mankind organized into ‘society’ over the last 200,000 years there has been continual attempts to ‘reduce’ violence in some aspect. There are zero laws or bans that can reduce violence as violence lies in the free will choice of those who inflict violence and if they can’t use a gun they will use a knife or sword and if not those they will use a club and if not that they will use a rock and if not that they will use hands.
What the U.K. did was ban ninja swords because it had made too many defenseless citizens by disarming the law abiding.
So it is not true that the U.K. banned ninja swords to reduce violence. Just as its not true that in America we hand out AR-15’s like party favors and call it ‘freedom’. Brady doesn’t get it, its not the party favors or not that’s the freedom – its the freedom to have a party.
