If I’m being honest, it’s hard getting young people educated about gun ownership & its importance if they didn’t already have an interest to begin with or had family who were already a part of gun culture. This space got co-opted hard by the usual suspects and that immediately turns new people away.
What we need is hot people on tiktok/youtube giving short educational segments while keeping in mind the target audience is automatically skeptical about your content and they have to be warmed up to it. Stuff like reiterating that gun rights are trans rights & the importance of guns in the civil rights movement. It’s not a bad thing to want to prevent suffering obviously but people also need to be reminded that that stance is incredibly privileged and shows you still have a foundational trust in the system, the same system that can take away everything from gay rights to women’s rights to worker’s rights in the blink of an eye as we’ve already seen.
I know it’s an insanely shallow take but most people are insanely shallow and if that’s what helps spread the word across the democratic party then I’d say that’s a success. Say what you will about Hasan Piker but I know women who are obsessed with him just because he’s hot lol. If any of you know of any channels like this out there I’d love to see them, but at least from what the algorithm feeds me on my end it’s exclusively far-right to “non-political” guntubers and anyone remotely left-leaning is few & far between.

I’ve said this before. I claim no religion. I am more middle than far either side. I do not give a fig about who marries who so long as all parties involved are consenting adults. I was a union rep. And damn good at it.
Where the dems lost me is when they caved to the loonie fringe. Grade schoolers do not need to learn about sexuality or transing. We have an absolute right to protect our borders and citizens. And I have an absolute right to own and carry firearms of all types. Just because I prefer revolvers and shotguns does not mean I should not be able to purchase full auto and mufflers.

After seeing the loonie lefties losing it over a certain jeans ad, I doubt “hotties with guns” is the right strategy.
However, if admitted gun owners like, say, Hunter Biden, Kamala Harris, or Gavin Newsome were to post videos of shooting a USPSA course with their hardware, we might have something.
This actually looks like the loonie lefties that are calling for hotties with guns. They want to say gun rights are tranz rights because that’s how those people think. You can’t frame anything as a human right because that includes straight white men which makes the drones automatically hate it. That’s why they freaked out whenever people said all lives matter.
Do they think they can change the Dem Party’s stance on guns? The Party is too invested to give that up. It’s too easy to campaign on. What would they have left? People care less about the ‘Climate Crisis’ everyday. Abortion is now a state issue. Normal people don’t want to children to be groomed. Girls and women deserve to have their own spaces and sports without being invaded by men. All they have left is empty promises of free stuff and retribution against people that have more than you.
