The crime-ridden hellhole known as Chicago has attracted the attention of President Trump. For weeks, Trump has indicated that he’d put Murder City USA near the top of his list of formerly great American cities turned crime-ridden cesspools that he intends to clean up.
Trump has done it in Washington DC, employing federal assets to crack down on violent criminals, illegal alien law-breakers and assorted other bad actors. In just seven days, the federal surge in DC lowered violent crime by 22%. Carjackings were down 83% and robberies fell 46%. In fact, Trump notched twelve days without any homicides.

As the wailing and gnashing of teeth over the Trump administration’s takeover of the Washington DC police force begins to fade, the results are coming in, and they are nothing short of extraordinary.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the nation’s capital has had no murders for seven days, something that had not been achieved since March and something I can find no recent record of in summer months when the murder rate is typically at its highest.
Last Monday, when a man was tragically gunned down in Logan Circle just hours after the Trump takeover, Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., took to social media to say that “Trump owns this. No word if the congressman agrees Trump also owns the lives saved this past week.
And it’s not just murder, according to the local police union. Robbery dropped 46% in the week after the takeover, carjackings were down a whopping 83%, and violent crime down 22%. Who could possibly argue against that?
Contrast that with Chicago’s crime numbers. Mayor Brandon Johnson had a very bad holiday weekend. Not only did fifty-one people get shot in his Murder City, USA (h/t HeyJackass.com), but nine more were murdered. And President Trump reads the news.
Now it seems official…after cleaning up the crime-ridden mess that was Washington, D.C., Team Trump has reportedly told Illinois Governor (and apparent presidential hopeful) JB Pritzker that the feds are coming this week and they’re bringing a big stick.
NBC5 Chicago has a fresh story covering Governor Pritzker saying that the feds — ICE agents, not National Guard troops — are coming to Chicago to do for Chicago what’s been done for DC.
Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker confirmed federal immigration agents will be coming to Chicago soon, citing a phone call he received from the federal government.
In an exclusive interview with NBC Chicago, Pritzker said after weeks of hearing no communication from the Trump administration, his team received a phone call, but not from the president himself. The phone call, made to Illinois State Police, came from Gregory Bovino, the border patrol sector chief for the El Centro, Texas sector. Bovino oversaw the immigration enforcement operations in Los Angeles earlier this summer.
“[They said] they will begin operations here sometime in the coming week,” Pritzker told NBC Chicago’s Mary Ann Ahern. “That – literally after two weeks of all this talk about troops on the ground – that’s the first time we’ve heard from the federal government on this.”
For generations, statist politicians have told us that imposing gun control upon the law-abiding was needed make our streets safer. The problem is, gun control laws never seem to work. Sometimes they even make crime worse. After all, by definition, criminals don’t follow the law. And now Chicago’s feckless mayor is blaming red states for his mismanaged city’s prodigious body count.
Today we have a political leader in President Trump who has resorted to trying crime control instead of gun control to clean up America’s urban crime problem. So far, it’s working.
Locking up criminals? Dems can’t have that!
Crime gives Dems a chance to blame guns, not their own poor public policies for the violence i their hellholes.
It’s just like the border fiasco under Puppet Joe. They created the problem. Then they said they could solve it if they had a bunch of money and some legislation that would make what they were doing legal. They said that was the only way to fix it. Then Trump came in and fixed it immediately without the things they were asking for. If they’re talking, they’re lying. They want more funding and more government (control).
