If our math is correct, June was the 71st consecutive month of sales of over 1 million firearms. That’s according to the NSSF’s monthly adjusted NICS calculations (which, by the way, understate actual gun sales because of all the states that don’t require carry permit holders to undergo a background check when buying new gats). Still, that’s quite a streak. But it’s a streak that only just remained unbroken in June. The official number adjusted background check number was 1,004,986.
Lots of factors go into the generally lower sales numbers since last October including an iffy economy, the defeat of Kamala Harris and, many in the industry think, sales saturation. After the massive 2020 to 2023 gun buying boom, lots of people have all the guns they want/need/can afford right now. It’s probably a testament to Americans’ undying love of all things ballistic that sales remain above what many have described as the new floor of 1 million guns a month (even if only barely).
Regarding the June numbers, the NSSF’s Mark Oliva said . . .
Background checks in June remained over 1 million, despite the concerns of economic uncertainty and the usual cycle that NSSF sees in decreased background checks during the summer months. That is also against the backdrop of states like Colorado and Oregon which have enacted or are pursuing laws to make exercising Second Amendment rights more difficult and an expensive for law-abiding gun owners.
Rhode Island recently enacted a law to ban the sale of modern sporting rifles (MSRs), which will take effect next year. The firearm industry is grateful for the work the Trump administration is doing to stand strong in defense of Second Amendment rights and the ability for law-abiding citizens to exercise their rights to keep and bear arms.
Here’s NSSF’s announcement . . .
The June 2025 NSSF-adjusted National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) figure of 1,004,986 is a decrease of 5.1 percent compared to the June 2024 NSSF-adjusted NICS figure of 1,059,037.
For comparison, the unadjusted June 2025 FBI NICS figure of 1,909,294 reflects a 2.5 percent decrease from the unadjusted FBI NICS figure of 1,958,447 in June 2024.

The second quarter 2024 NSSF-adjusted National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) figure of 3,250,965 reflects a decrease of 3.4 percent as compared to the second quarter 2024 figure of 3,364,270.
Please note: Twenty-four states currently have at least one qualified alternative permit, which under the Brady Act allows the permit-holder, who has undergone a background check to obtain the permit, to purchase a firearm from a licensed dealer without a separate additional background check for that transfer. The number of NICS checks in these states does not include these legal transfers based on qualifying permits and NSSF does not adjust for these transfers.
The adjusted NICS data were derived by subtracting out NICS purpose code permit checks and permit rechecks used by states for CCW permit application checks as well as checks on active CCW permit databases. NSSF started subtracting permit rechecks in February 2016.
Though not a direct correlation to firearms sales, the NSSF-adjusted NICS data provide an additional picture of current market conditions. In addition to other purposes, NICS is used to check transactions for sales or transfers of new or used firearms.
It should be noted that these statistics represent the number of firearm background checks initiated through the NICS. They do not represent the number of firearms sold or sales dollars. Based on varying state laws, local market conditions and purchase scenarios, a one-to-one correlation cannot be made between a firearm background check and a firearm sale.
They ain’t no more room. One more gun and the country bursts at the seems.
I’ve actually decreased the number of guns that I own. I’ve given away quite a few. With a supply of ammo for each gift.
I’ve gotten old. I don’t want to spend that time on cleaning and shooting all of them. I still have more than enough for my needs.
Today, 2 July, is the ‘first independence day’.

LoL….a left wing Antifa member and software guy created this phone app called ‘IceBlock’. Its available on Apples store. Its purpose is to let people report ICE agents locations so illegal aliens can avoid ICE and anti-ice ‘protestors’ can show up. But… a bunch of Trump supporters installed it and used it to flood the app with fake ICE locations in such a manner that created an effect of causing the ‘protestors’ to go somewhere ICE isn’t and the illegal aliens to get caught by ICE while the illegal alien tries to avoid the fake reported locations.
🤣
Race-Based Organ Transplants in Biden Era Flipped DEI to DIE
“The president of AFL, Gene Hamilton, said that the Biden administration ‘was so obsessed with ‘equity’ that it devised all kinds of plans to turn the United States into a country where nearly everything is allocated — public and private sectors — based on race. INCLUDING ORGAN TRANSPLANTS.

The FBI and other intelligence agencies, along with local law enforcement, are warning Americans of the risk of ‘lone wolf’ terrorist attacks over the Independence Day holiday, especially in places like New York and San Francisco.
