In a renewed effort to transform Texas’s political landscape, the George Soros-funded Texas Majority PAC has launched a multimillion-dollar campaign titled “Blue Texas.”
Partnering with the Texas Democratic Party and various county organizations, the initiative aims to mobilize volunteers, recruit candidates, and increase voter turnout ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.
Soros had already contributed $2.1 million in 2024 and an additional $1 million in April 2025 to support this endeavor. Despite previous attempts, such as Battleground Texas and Beto O’Rourke’s “Powered by People” PAC, Democrats have struggled to gain a foothold in statewide elections, with the last victory occurring in 1994.
The persistent efforts by anti-gun Democrats underscore their commitment to altering Texas’s political alignment, which could have significant implications for national gun control legislation.
Texas Gun Rights President Chris McNutt emphasized the importance of vigilance, stating that gun owners should not be complacent and must recognize the ongoing threats to their rights.
While some Republican leaders, like Texas GOP Chairman Abraham George, have downplayed the impact of these initiatives, asserting that Texas remains a stronghold for conservative values.
But McNutt’s warning serves as a reminder that sustained activism is crucial to preserving Second Amendment rights in the face of well-funded opposition.
As the 2026 elections approach, the actions of organizations like Texas Gun Rights and their supporters will play a pivotal role in determining the state’s political trajectory and, by extension, the future of gun legislation in the United States.

Ok, here’s the thing – if you have to buy the votes by turning the state ‘blue’ it means you have failed to be what the people really want and need and are really doing it for the ‘power’ and not to serve the people. We already see this today, democrat politicians and PAC’s spent tons of money making areas blue or keeping areas blue, yet the people in the blue area are still plagued by crime, homelessness, and a multitude of issues. If someone is trying to buy your vote with money or promises, they will just as much sell you out to maintain the power they get from your vote and that is exactly what has happened to blue areas today where once elected the blue representatives forgot all about the ‘people’ and their ‘promises’ and started serving their selves to power and now pay the people off in lip service while making no meaningful changes like they promised. This contributed greatly to the democrats being soundly decimated in the 2024 election, many people in many blue areas woke up and realized how they had been screwed by Democrats – the blue wall was rebuilt with red bricks.
