Virginia’s New AWB Shows – Clearly – The Two Parties are NOT the Same on Gun Rights

virginia seal

The irony of a state with a defeated tyrant on its seal passing a ban on commonly owned firearms and magazines is sad, but not surprising given how that state has shifted politically. It is what it is. The way I see it, we’ll have our answer soon from SCOTUS on hardware cases.

With the DC Court of Appeals creating some buzz with its great ruling on magazine capcity limits last week, the Third Circuit preparing to issue its ruling likely striking down New Jersey’s ban, and now Virginia passing another “assault weapons” ban in the Supreme Court’s backyard, the Court can’t duck this anymore. They’ll either grant cert and decide this issue finally, or deny cert and confirm once and for all that they are not on our side.

Those of you in Virginia who are mad about the AWB will have your first chance to make your voices heard in the upcoming referendum on whether you will be disenfranchised or not via gerrymandering. I don’t know if you can overcome all the federal employees they have imported in to Northern Virginia, but it’s worth a shot.

The Virginia assault weapons ban is another reminder that when you seem some doomer moron saying, “Republicans and Democrats are both antigun!,” you should ridicule and bully them relentlessly.

Yes, Republicans are not perfect. But no red state has an “assault weapons” ban. Almost every blue state has one. Almost every red state has constitutional carry. Only a couple blue states do.

At the federal level, the Trump administration is opposing bans on commonly owned rifles and magazines. Yes, they are still defending the National Firearms Act and we disagree with them on that. But that’s comparatively small potatoes versus what’s happening in the blue states.

When it comes to the Second Amendment, one party is clearly superior and it’s not even close. I hope that changes some day. It would be healthy for the Second Amendment’s longevity if it did. But for now, this is the reality.

Stop letting online morons blackpill you into staying home on election day and thereby surrendering your rights.

  1. “When you here some doomer moron saying, “Republicans and Democrats are both antigun!,” you should ridicule and bully them relentlessly.”

Yes I do ridicule and bully the libertarians relentlessly. As imperfect as the republicans are. They have never nominated an anti-civil rights candidate. But the libertarians and democrats have both done that.

  2. People who say voting is a waste of time are the enemy of liberty.

Thank god for those imperfect republican men.
Reagan. Bush the father and Bush the son. And Donald Trump.
All who put pro2A judges on the courts.

It took 40 years for the Bruen decision to come about. Never forget that. The days of instant justice are gone when we stopped hanging criminals the same day. When they were caught after robbing a chicken coop.

  3. Federalist 41: Madison’s Warning About Unlimited Government Power.

“James Madison’s Federalist No. 41 contains one of the most important warnings ever written about government power. In this deep dive, we break down what Madison meant by ‘general welfare,’ why the Founders rejected unlimited federal authority, and how the arguments in Federalist 41 connect directly to the Second Amendment and the right to keep and bear arms.

Understanding the Founders’ original intent is critical today as debates over gun control, federal authority, and constitutional rights continue to dominate the national conversation.”

  4. U.S. Consulate attacked: Shots Fired at the U.S. Consulate in Toronto in ‘National Security Incident’

Police say they will investigate any possible terrorism links as they search for two suspects who fired shots at the U.S. Consulate in Toronto early Tuesday morning.

Speaking to reporters outside the University Avenue building on Tuesday, Toronto Police Deputy Chief Frank Barredo said officers were first notified of the shooting at around 5:30 a.m., about an hour after the gunshots rang out.

‘There is witness evidence to show that a vehicle travelling westbound on Dundas Street, a white Honda CRV, turned southbound at University Avenue and stopped in front of 360 University, the U.S. Consulate,’ Barredo said

‘There, two individuals emerged from the vehicle, discharged what appears to be a handgun at the front of the building, and then got back into their vehicle and drove southbound.’

Police have now released an image of the suspect vehicle in the hopes that someone will be able to identify it.

[note: I guess the Canadian ‘gun control’ didn’t work – again. It never works to keep guns from criminal actors, terrorist left wingers, and mentally ill trans and other killers]

  6. The ‘trans’ scam continues and you still pay for it with your tax dollars: Drag Queen Staffs School Clinic, Explains Rebranding of ‘Gender-Affirming’ Care to Avoid Federal Scrutiny.

‘…We can’t call it ‘gender-affirming therapy.’ We call it ‘identity therapy.’ Basically, it hasn’t changed. It’s just the way we have to name it in order for billing to take place,’ Shannon said in the video, adding the funds come from the state of New Mexico, and Medicaid is billed.

  7. left wing liars and cheats, its such a normal thing to them its become SOP and they don’t even try to hide it any more : Just WOW: DAMNING Video Shows People Getting PAID to Sign (and Not Their Names!) Ballots in Plain SIGHT. [video]

… Democrats continue to take advantage of unsecured elections that include mail-in ballots and ballot harvesting. Oh, we know, we’re not supposed to say that out loud, but when you see a video like this, where people are literally being paid money to sign a name and write in an address … gosh, while we’re certainly not experts, this seems like cheating.

    6th & Mission
These people are paying people $5 dollars to sign a ballot, but as you watch the video their telling them what name to sign (which is someone else name) and what address to write. Seems kind of suspicious to me. Why not sign your own name and you can hear people doing it actually twice
