A new generation of young political leaders is gaining power in the US by using their personal experience with gun violence to push for reforms they say the US is ready for.
Their ascent is part of a nearly decade-long shift, from gun violence prevention being a third-rail issue in politics that was rarely spoken about on campaign trails, to one that candidates, most of them Democrats, are now running – and winning – on.
This shift is due in part to a collective exhaustion with gun violence, whether mass shootings – like the recent ones at Brown University in Rhode Island and at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia – firearms suicides or community violence, that continues to tear apart the lives of too many Americans, said Justin Pearson, a Tennessee state representative who’s running for US congress. …
The rise of candidates centering gun violence is also the result of the growing prevention movement across the US, which has become something of a pipeline for new candidates running for office.

Conservatives, you need to be teaching your children that these anti-gun ‘new generation of young political leaders ‘ are a breed of the enemy’s of freedom they are going to be facing in the future. You need to start letting your kids know these need to be defeated either by resistance or in the courts, or if it comes down to it in the streets (because they will not hesitate to attempt to or actually ‘mobilize’ their left wing violence to go after you to get their agenda goals as we have already seen with today’s aging democrat politicians trying to do). Its not really about guns or ‘gun violence’, that’s just the excuse they use – its emotional blackmail they want to use to get elected, to get power, and once in that position of power to try to set precedence against the 2A and then use that precedence to establish that government can control constitutional rights then using that the rest of the rights will come under government control. The founders warned of this type of sneaky approach to defeating the constitution and country. We have already seen these attempts here in the U.S, for example, California tried to use their ‘gun control’ as a reason to suppress the free speech of publications and people and enter homes when they chose to do so without warrant or probable cause – we saw it in the SCOTUS case Canglia vs Strom where police entered a mans home and confiscated his guns without warrant or probable cause and even confined him against his will at a metal health facility by invoking the ‘care taking’ exception to the 4th amendment (thankfully, SCOTUS saw through this and ruled against the police AND the Biden DOJ in this matter). We saw it in Hurricane Katrina where police entered homes without warrant or probable cause to confiscate guns – not only the 2A violated but the 4th and 5th also.
We have seen this concept play out in other countries today. For example in the U.K., although they do not have a constitution like ours and any rights they have were granted by government, once the government was able to establish control over their ‘free speech right’ the rest of their rights also fell under government control with the police in the U.K. now not needing any probable cause or warrant but just a ‘someone was upset because of what you said on social media’ or ‘someone was upset that you posted a pic of you on vacation in the U.S. and were holding a gun’ ‘so we are gonna just come right on in and search and off to jail with you’.
Governments, be they local or country or state or federal, in the U.S. or elsewhere in the world eventually always tend towards power and control over the people and their rights. In our country, unlike the U.K. where the people like sheep let them selves be disarmed and the tyranny is increasing, in the U.S. we have the 2A and for these politicians to establish that power and control over the people and their rights such that in the future there would be very little to no meaningful resistance to them they need to overcome and defeat the 2A.

I didn’t realize formerly Great Britain had legalized marijuana use. Legalized marijuana would explain a lot of the fanciful hallucinations articulated in this story. Or maybe Abene didn’t know those delicious brownies she had over the Christmas break were spiked. That’s likely her story and she’s probably sticking to it.
