Cornyn Crushed: Texans Says Good Riddance to a Gun Controlling, Backstabbing Traitor

After four terms in the US Senate, John Cornyn’s reelection should have been a cake walk. Instead, Texas voters delivered a thunderous rejection of Cornyn in yesterday’s primary runoff election. Lone Star State voters put their collective foot up his ass, voting him out by almost 30 points and sending him packing.

Texas voters never forgot that the spineless, weak-kneed traitor sold out gun owners for some fleetingly favorable media mentions and some brief DC cocktail party applause. Ken Paxton routed the four-term incumbent, ending the era of collegial, go-along-to-get-along senatorial establishmentarianism in the Lone Star State. Good riddance.

Cornyn wasn’t just another establishment RINO straggler—he was a treacherous architect of betrayal. While American gun control certainly wasn’t the only issue that contributed to his crushing defeat, Texans never forgot and they absolutely did not forgive.

His priorities were always clear: he wanted to be popular with his Senate pals and the DC cocktail circuit. Ukraine was a priority, not strong borders to protect his fellow Texans. Ranchers and factory workers were far down the list for this career politician. He embodied what’s now seen as the worst of the old GOP guard.

But nothing exposed Cornyn’s like his all-too-eager sellout on gun control. After the Uvalde shooting and amid the anti-gun hysteria, this supposed Texas conservative raced to work with Connecticut’s Chris Murphy and negotiate with Chuck Schumer and Joe Biden.  He helped author and ram through the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act—the most significant federal gun control legislation in decades. The bill expanded background checks, funded the expansion of red-flag laws that let courts strip gun rights without due process, cracked down on private transfers, and poured money into ATF enforcement.

John Cornyn Chris Murphy

Biden hailed it as a major win while Trump rightly warned it was a significant step toward broader civilian disarmament. Cornyn didn’t care. He stood shoulder-to-shoulder with Democrats to put it on Biden’s desk, shivving every gun-owning Texan – and American – in the back who trusted him to defend the Constitution.

It wasn’t “compromise,” it was surrender. Cornyn’s legacy is one of weakness, cozying up to the very administration that worked so hard to undermine the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens while criminals laughed. Texas  saw it for what it was. They saw through the act and they remembered.

Cornyn’s crushing defeat sends a clear message: America is done tolerating squishes who talk a good talk a good game during campaigns, but don’t do a thing once they’re in office. Or worse yet, work to promote gun control and interests that aren’t those of their state or country. Cornyn’s political corpse is a warning to every other linguini-spined pol who goes native when they get to DC: your time is up.

  1. Now he can throw a little bitch tantrum like Cassidy and work against America the rest of his term. Not that he wasn’t already doing that.
Wishy-washy fence-sitting appeasement bullshit never works out. RINO extinction can’t come soon enough.

    1. It is a good day for the nation!
It’s wonderful that the people of Texas now have clear and convincing proof that the GOP is the party of unfaithful lying cheats who will swear an oath before God and violate it by dragging their dick through somebody else’s wife.

      1. I really don’t care what Paxton has gotten up to off the clock. Texas’s voters didn’t seem to care either given that this is old news. What’s important is that Paxton wins the general election and helps keep Republican control of the Senate. Your out of context Bible verse is irrelevant.

Of course its out of context, Miner49er doesn’t know what context means.

Miner49er, a self admitted left wing avowed atheist who advocates for the death of Christians, who cheered the murder of Charlie Kirk and the trans murderer who killed children in Minneapolis and tried to post justifying these murderers actions, who literally spent years claiming the Epstein files proved Trump was a pedo and spouting lies about it and it turned out to be false but it was democrats all along implicated in the Epstein files – now uses an old testament bible verse, cherry picked out its context, he doesn’t understand to perpetuate a lie condemning a whole group because one of the group got outed from office because he was a deceiver the people didn’t think should be in office.

Of course MIner49’ers out of context bible verse is irrelevant.

          Psalms 50:18 Context:

15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. 16 But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth? 17 Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee. 18 When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers. 19 Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit. 20 Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother’s son. 21 These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.

Psalm 50:15 means that when you are in trouble, you should call upon God, and He promises to deliver you from your difficulties. This verse emphasizes the importance of prayer and reliance on God during challenging times, assuring that He will provide help and that you should glorify Him for it.

The left wing voters (which includes Miner49er) though, they give their deceptive democrats nazi tattoos, support them being marx*ist soci*alist communist, support them calling for murder and butchering of innocents, and want them to overthrow the country and plunge us into a communist nightmare and proudly display their violence and hatred and loathing and racism and fascism while blatantly and obviously lying about it trying to frame it as ‘politics’ – and these moron left wingers keep voting them back into office.

      2. The sparkly clean person who could actually win wasn’t on the ballot, so you work with what you have. Paxton was the best choice here. Cornyn is a backstabber who counted on voters having short memories.

But the libertarians will tell you there’s no reason to vote. That it’s a waste of time voting. Because both the parties are the same.

All they care about is being anti war. I don’t believe they care about the second amendment at all.
It’s interesting how they supported Barack Obama as an “anti war candidate”. And believed that he would leg:@lize m@riju@na. But it was the republicans who leg’@lized m@riju@na nationally in the United States. And it was president trump who pardoned Russ Ulbricht.

I believe the libertarians have become some form of c0mmunism lite or s0ci@lism lite. I don’t see them supporting the concept of private property. When they support the police being ordered to stand down, and criminals being allowed to steal.

They used to be known as republicans who wanted to smoke pot.

The left wing libertarians have always supported “some form of c0mmunism lite or s0ci@lism lite”. And today there is a significant movement known more openly now as left-libertarianism,

Yep, the so called ‘Bipartisan Safer Communities Act’ ended him but it wasn’t just that alone even though it was a big part of it. It was what it represented more than what it did, that did him in. Cornyn spent his time in congress being ‘cozy’ with the democrats. He may not have gone along with them on everything when it came to votes, but he was always willing to ‘back room deal compromise’ in their favor for the sake of the ‘bi-partisan’ thing for ‘deals’ when with democrats there really isn’t any ‘bi-partisan’ unless they can use it to further a democrat agenda that’s always detrimental to the American people and they have been doing it as a standard tactic ever since Johnson was president. So what the ‘Bipartisan Safer Communities Act’ represented was a ‘traitorous’ act against the constitution and all constitutional rights and not just the 2A, but it wasn’t just gun/2A people that voted and they realized putting more of the same old ‘back room dealing with detrimental democrat agenda and then selling it as bi-partisan’, putting one of the worst old-guard GOP establishment players, back in office was not a good thing.

    1. .40 cal Booger

Basically, Cornyn was ‘democrat lite’ in reality, a RINO. Don’t get me wrong, he did vote for and put forth some good things and he had a 92% voting record in voting for Trump stuff. But it was his ‘back room deal compromises and deals and advocating for bi-partisan with democrats’ that allowed a lot of bad democrat stuff to pass under Biden and other democrat presidents, and the ‘Bipartisan Safer Communities Act’ was him coming out of the ‘closet’.

  4. the last minute endorsement from the agriculture board was telling. they’ve got to get their cornyn.

“His priorities were always clear: he wanted to be popular with his Senate pals and the DC cocktail circuit.”

It’s deliberate. When you get first elected, you get invited to all kinds of cool, fun things, and everybody likes you in DC.

…until you don’t vote the way they want you to vote. The pressure comes from all sides, your spouse won’t get invites, your kids get ostracized at school. And nothing tears at a dad’s heart like his teenage daughter being shunned at school, and nobody calling their wives for lunch.

So, most cave and turn to the dark side.

what has to be built is a DC culture for the proper people…

  7. I blame the Israel lobby (AIPAC and the Republican Jewish Coalition) for Paxton’s win. I’ve been told on good authority that they basically control elections and run our country. Oh wait, it looks like they backed Cornyn. Guess the masterminds forgot to check the memo. Never mind.

    1. That they can throw money at various anti liberty candidates at all as an effective forigen interest seems to be the relevant issue there.

      1. A pro-Israel J-e-w donated nearly $1 million to Massie’s campaign. Yep. Look it up. Also, a pro-Hamas family who donates to candidates like Ilhan Omar and Keith Ellison also donated to Massie. D.C. is floating in foreign interest money.

Cornyn was a known quantity. That’s probably why they went with him.

        1. And? Overwhelmingly AIPAC tends to fund Democrats and RINOs and lets not pretend there isn’t precedent for what you describe to set the stage for fundraising down the line like with the SPLC.

  8. I blame the Israel lobby (AIPAC and the Republican J-e-w-i-s-h Coalition) for Paxton’s win. I’ve been told on good authority that they basically control elections and run our country. Oh wait, it looks like they backed Cornyn. Guess the masterminds forgot to check the memo. Never mind.
