Minneapolis’s Mayor Jacob Frey, who took such umbrage yesterday when news reports pointed out that the killer who murdered two children and wounded fourteen more, plus three adults was transgender, has thoughts on guns in America.
We have more guns in America than we have people. The reality is is that we have these assault rifles that can reel off 30 clips in conjunction with a magazine before the person even needs to reload. The reality is that these guns make their way into cities by the trunkload.
Imagine how much more of a threat these people would be to your rights — speech, guns, religion, search and seizure, and lots more — if they were actually competent. At anything.
Most pols are BSers who just wing it. Listen in on a city commission meeting sometime when the topic is something you know about. Most of them won’t even bother with basic research beforehand. They make decisions based on money (for them and their buddies) and emotion.

But this background helps explain Katersky’s deceptive coverage. ABC News didn’t need all the facts to push a narrative, it just needed Trump’s name and a shooting. Deceptive coverage like this is how outlets like ABC News continually earn the title: “Propaganda Press.” These outlets don’t always outright lie — they bend, omit, or spin a story until the audience walks away with the exact opposite of the truth.
Katersky twisted the facts until evidence suggesting the shooter was a Trump-hating, Christian-hating killer looked like proof of Trump-inspired violence.

We’re now learning that the Minnesota Catholic Conference (MCC), a policy group made up of the state’s six Catholic dioceses, requested in both 2022 and 2023 that state officials allocate funds so that non-public schools could beef up their security and train their staff in emergency response measures. These requests were prompted by the 2022 shooting in Uvalde, Texas, and the 2023 shooting at The Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee.

Through the Safe Schools initiative, Catholic leaders were asking Walz and state officials to broaden the scope of existing school safety funding to include private schools; they were requesting around $44 per student. Those funding allocations never happened, and Catholic and other non-public schools in Minnesota were left to fend for themselves despite the state having a nearly $18 billion surplus in 2023.
That, on its own, is extremely problematic, but it gets worse. While Tim Walz was ignoring the pleas of the Catholic leaders, he was simultaneously establishing Minnesota as a ‘trans care refuge state.’ There was, apparently, plenty of time and resources for that effort.
As RedState’s Sister Toldjah reported Wednesday, Walz had all the time in the world back in 2023 to sign legislation allowing minors to seek ‘gender-affirming healthcare’ in his state.

What they mean, of course, is that they must be allowed to strip us of our Second Amendment rights.
