Magpul’s Latest DAKA Gear: New Large and Small Range Bags

Available in small (20-liter) and large (40-liter) sizes, these range bags are built to handle the elements. Made from our proprietary DAKA material, they come with dual YKK Aquaguard zippers on the outer pockets and RF-welded seams; both help keep water out and your gear safe. These bags are packed with pockets, elastic magazine loops, and compartments for all your miscellaneous items. There’s even a hook-and-loop system inside to for organization. Plus, the top of the main compartment folds out into a work mat so you can tune your gear without scratching it.

    I’ve learned to never buy a range bag until I’ve had a chance to look at it in person.

    This looks promising from what little I can see from the advert … but my current range bag from Primary Arms does a great job, and at about 1/5 the price. (Admittedly I got it on sale last year.)

    The PA bag is very similar to one from Midway I got a decade ago, and finally retired. Not because anything failed on the stitching, but because someone (to whom I shall never loan equipment again) left it in a damp musty cabinet and it got all moldy.

  2. My main ranges are my back yard and another property I own. When I’ve gone to a commercial range, I used a simple backpack to carry my stuff. I think I got it for $30 pre-Bidenflation.
