Being Charged With Home Invasion and Felony Murder Works Differently in Red States

Dateline Jackson, Mississippi. Two ski-masked urban yoots decide they were going for a “quick score” at 2:30a.m.  Fortunately for everyone else in society, their plans went sideways. That’s because their intended victim, a woman whose daddy didn’t raise a victim, had more than a sharp stick and harsh language at hand when they invaded her home.

The stars of our show were 18-year-old ringleader Quintavion Myles and his 15-year-old apprentice Kaden Young. These two masked aspiring physicists rolled up to an apartment building thinking they were about to star in another heist movie.

The first order of business was wearing a mask. Check. Next? Cover the Ring camera like true professionals. Done. The next step failed miserably as they tried to pry the door open with a screwdriver. When that didn’t work the room temperature IQ duo opted for a more direct, albeit less discreet method of entry. They smashed a window, making enough noise to raise the dead.

From there, they barged in expecting to find submissive victims begging for their lives and handing over their valuables. Thanks to the crash of the shattering window, what they got instead was a prepared homeowner.

The female had the perfect answer for a pair of thugs coming in to do unkind and unlawful things to her. Spoiler Alert: the homeowner was not wearing Moms Demand Action red t-shirt at the time. Instead, she pulled out her gun and waited for the intruders. She didn’t have to wait long.

As they approached, she let her gun teach them a couple of important life lessons. First, they learned about how the Castle Doctrine in Mississippi works. They also learned that busting into people’s homes in the middle of the night comes with potentially life-changing consequences.

Madame Homeowner fired multiple rounds. The 15-year-old took some hits and collapsed, a victim of cruel natural selection. Mr. Darwin showed up and won. Bigly.

Did Mr. Myles stick around to help his juvenile buddy? Yeah, that’s a big no. He took off like a scalded cat. The Jackson PD scooped him up a few hours later. Now he’s staring at a felony murder charge for his dead buddy, plus bonus charges for the attempted robbery.

Even better, Mississippi hasn’t adopted no cash bail. While Myles might have gotten pre-trial release in blue states with Soros prosecutors like Illinois or New York, Mississippi doesn’t play as nicely with bad people with evil in their hearts.  Quintavion will be held without bail pending trial

The female head of the household was home by breakfast, cleared of any wrongdoing for her justified use of armed self-defense. It isn’t known if cops took up a collection to buy her a replacement gun for the one taken as evidence.

But wait. It gets better still. The 15-year-old didn’t even have a gun. Stupid hurts. As it should.

WLBT News has details:

Police say a Mississippi woman, fearing for her life, shot and killed one of two suspects wearing ski masks who broke into her apartment.

The incident happened about 2:30 a.m. Sunday at the Park at Inverness Apartments in Jackson.

Jackson Police say their investigation revealed two Black males wearing ski masks broke into a woman’s apartment. Fearing for her life, the resident fired a weapon, hitting and killing one of the suspects.

The second suspect fled the scene.

The deceased suspect was identified Sunday afternoon as 15-year-old Kaden Young, while the second suspect was identified as 18-year-old Quintavion Myles.

“Life is like a box of chocolates, sometimes you get the stupid ones

—- very loose paraphrase, Forrest Gump.”

  2. “Next? Cover the Ring camera like true professionals.” Who do they think they are, the ATF, local PD. He should be charged with impersonating an officer too.

  3. With a name like Quintavion, you just knew he was going to cure cancer before discovering warp drive propulsion.

What is it with the hip hop culture?
