Police say 44-year-old Dawn Freeman is now jailed on homicide charges after she allegedly admitted to shooting and killing her husband, Bradley Freeman, during an alleged argument over firearm safety.
According to a criminal affidavit, authorities say Mr. Freeman was found dead inside the living room area of the couple’s Mine 42 Road home, with a single gunshot wound to his chest.
State police say that when they questioned his wife, Mrs. Freeman reportedly admitted to pulling the trigger of his 9mm handgun during a dispute over the victim repeatedly leaving his gun ‘out in the open.’
Investigators say Dawn Freeman explained that she had repeatedly ‘begged’ the victim to stop leaving his gun unsecured, while expressing concern for the safety of her two children.
During the latest argument over his gun, police say Mrs. Freeman allegedly admitted to picking it up and pointing it at the victim to “show him a lesson.”
