The U.S. Department of Government Efficiency has sent staff to the agency that enforces federal gun laws with the goal of revising or eliminating more than 50 rules and gun restrictions by July 4, the Washington Post reported on Friday.

DOGE is working with the general counsel of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to cut the regulations as the Trump administration drastically reduces the number of inspectors, the newspaper reported.

The ATF, without confirming the DOGE visit in an email to Reuters, said it was “reviewing and modernizing its regulations consistent with” President Donald Trump’s and Attorney General Pam Bondi’s directives.

“This modernization project focuses ATF’s enforcement on violent criminals, while reducing unnecessary regulatory burdens on lawful gun owners and dealers,” the ATF, which is overseen by the Justice Department, said.

Representatives for DOGE did not return a request for comment.

President Trump is far more to reduce the size of government, than anyone before him. Including Ronald Reagan.

How far will he get? I hope as much as possible in the next 3 years.

Missouri Attorney General, Johnny B, & Legally Armed America Remove and Banned By GunCon Venue. (Note; it was the private property owner, the person who owned the building where GunCon was being held, a liberal transgendered person, that banned them from the building thus attending because they expressed their, ya know, free speech views and did so respectfully unlike the (collectively) thousands of violent liberals (including trans and other LQBTQ) presently trying to wage war against the United States and attack people claiming its ‘free speech’.)

WTH is wrong with some people in New York? Their motto should be “City of Stupid” – they want to elected for Mayor a person who comes right out and says he is a Marxist Socialist communist and wants to enact the same failed policy’s that always fail 100% of the time in all Marxist Socialist communist regimes, and comes right out with wanting to enact oppression and racial prejudice, and basically de-funding police by not hiring to replace those leaving. We knew Democrat politicians today are basically a Marxist Socialist kept in, somewhat, check on some things by various factors, we knew left wingers in New York city government were Marxist Socialists, we knew the Governor of New York is a Marxist Socialist (and even she is not really hot on this guy)… so maybe its in the water or something, but anyway…

New Yorkers Pick Literal Gun Grabbing Socialist (to be their Democrat candidate).

    The BBB has officially passed!

Trump Scores Win as BBB Clears Procedural Vote Hurdle After 82-Hour Showdown.

“After 82 grueling hours of debate, delay tactics, and amendment marathons on the Senate floor, President Donald Trump’s ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ has officially passed, marking a significant victory for his administration and the American people. The comprehensive tax and spending package, which includes historic tax relief, border enforcement measures, and pro-growth economic reforms, cleared the Senate hurdle late Saturday night. In a triumphant statement, Trump praised Republicans for their resolve and blasted Democrats for trying to obstruct what he called ‘a bill that delivers real results for real Americans.’

Trump is expected to sign the legislation into law on July 2, just in time for the July 4 deadline.

Everything that defines a standard AR lower as a firearm is already a perversion of what the law says for what a firearm is.

Under the US Code of Federal Regulations, a firearm frame or receiver is defined as: “That part of a firearm which provides housing for the hammer, bolt or breechblock, and firing mechanism, and which is usually threaded at its forward portion to receive the barrel.”

The AR pattern lower receiver does not have a bolt or breechblock and is not threaded to receive the barrel. Its not a firearm as the law defines firearm. Yet for some reason a perverted ATF ‘self-interpreting’ reasoning. the result of “secret, in-house decision-making” keeps it considered a firearm under rules and regulation when under law definition it clearly is not a firearm nor is it a firearm in the mechanical, physical, and practical sense.

An AR has a split receiver, an upper and a lower. Neither component, strictly speaking, meets the definition of a frame or receiver that is explicitly laid out in the law.

In other words, this was yet another unconstitutional ‘defacto law’ ATF created.

The government (via the ATF) spends and wastes more than $3 billion each year (in direct and indirect costs) monitoring and regulating AR pattern lowers industry-manufacturing saying they are firearms for no other reason than to justify its unconstitutional self created ‘defacto law’ that these are firearms.

So this is one thing DOGE can get rid of for ‘rules and regulation’ – or in other words get rid of such unconstitutional ‘defacto law’ rules and regulation created by ATF and that should cover the 50 and a whole lot more and save us a bunch of money.

  6. 1: See that federal law defines “firearm” as expelling a projectile by power of explosion
2: Realize that really only covers frag grenades, and thus doesn’t apply to ANYTHING smokeless powder based
3: Accordingly, realize you can completely gut the entire organization.
