B. King’s Firearms just announced another option in the form of an M16A2-based complete PDW upper with full SBR and pistol versions to come.
This was another grail build for me. I know it’s still not 100% perfect, but it’s far closer than I expected to get when I started the process. I’m calling this one done.
I spent a ton on this build between starting with a Wolf complete upper, rebuilding most of it, and then swapping lowers. Still, I’m glad I did it. My final build is a pretty accurate clone of the Taiwanese t91 issue rifle.
The PSA Guardsman line includes a 16-inch mid-length rifle, a 10.3-inch SBR, and an 8-inch 300 Blackout pistol. They have upgraded components like a chrome-lined phosphate barrel, flat-faced EPT trigger, ambi safety, and an enhanced BCG with Sprinco gas rings.
If you shoot a variety of guns that use A1 or A2 flash hiders, the GATE-LOK HUB Mount is a must-have accessory. Even if you don’t, it’s a great option if you don’t want to get into specialty muzzle devices.
While not based on anything in particular the Franken A2 carbine has a bit of a Fallout vibe to it. It’s a handy iron sighted carbine that would withstand the rigors of the waste long after the batteries on your fancy flat top AR have run out.
Repro’s have been available for a long time, but they often aren’t built as well as original GI parts. The folks at Luth AR and Echo Nine Three have us covered though. Both companies are now offering new manufacture retro handguards made to GI specs.
I saw that Luth-AR had a couple of complete carry handle uppers on display at the SHOT Show earlier this year and it looks like they finally dropped on their website.
Franklin Armory has been battling the characterization of their Reformation as a short barrel shotgun by the ATF for years, but they’ve now secured a resounding win. Despite ATF’s best efforts, the Reformation is back and ready for the market.
