A Hawaii law firm and a gun control advocacy group are reminding Hawaii business owners that if they want to prohibit guns from their property, they must have clearly posted signage.
In June, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down a Hawaii law requiring people to get permission to carry guns into stores and hotels unless the owner specifically prohibits it.
Hawaii law firm Davis Levin Livingston has partnered with the gun control group Brady: United Against Gun Violence to offer free signs for businesses that decide to keep guns off their property.
“If they’re going to walk into a building that has a prohibited sign, you know, they’ll have to leave their guns in the car. So hopefully it will do something to advance the safety of our community,” said Mark Davis, founding partner of Davis Levin Livingston.

There is something else these are doing too – they are lying to these business owners.
The “Hawaii law firm and a gun control advocacy group” are Hawaii law firm Davis Levin Livingston and Brady: United Against Gun Violence.
They have also been telling these business owners that SCOTUS someway or another took away their right to prohibit guns on their property so they need these signs to be able to legally do that. That is a lie – but lying is what anti-gun do anyway. Private property owners (even for private property that’s open to the public i.e. a business) in the United States have always had a right to exclude firearms from their property. SCOTUS did not take that away or in any way infringe upon that, nor are there any ‘legalities’ a business/property owner must go through to do this.
I assume these businesses will also install metal detectors or wand patrons entering their establishment.
They can paint the detectors rainbow. You know, for that aloha spirit.

“Only Aloah! Violent Criminals and Mass-KIllers Attack Here”
Its one thing to have no markings or indicators or ‘advertising’ showing that indicates defense vulnerabilities to criminals or mass-killers, at least the violent criminal or mass-killer has to guess and take a chance, and more often than not for places where the public gathers they tend to pass these places and look for something more ‘affirmative’ for them indicating less or no ‘resistance’ to what they want to do. But if you are stupid enough to put up a sign, or ‘advertise’ such, that screams ‘defenseless people here, violent criminals and mass-killers welcome’ then your problem is not with law abiding gun owners having guns – your problem is you and your stupid. So go ahead and ring that predator criminal or mass-killer ‘dinner-bell’ with these signs, the very type of thing that specifically attracts violent criminals and mass-killers – and I hate to say it but ya kinda asked for it when that violent criminal or mass-killer shows up.
But if it does happen, just remember that neither Hawaii law firm Davis Levin Livingston or Brady: United Against Gun Violence is gonna swoop in and protect you and the police are several minutes away – and you were your own first responder and failing the ability to be that then those ‘law abiding gun carrying American citizens’ ‘customers’ you were so irrationally afraid of when you put up that sign that might have been in your business that could have helped are now no longer patronizing your business or if they are patronizing your business they have disarmed before entering. But hey, you have a ‘Guns Not Allowed’ sign and maybe they will find a nice way to say ‘died for their stupid’ on your tombstone, or maybe they will have invented a cure for stupid and you can get it while in the hospital recovering from you injuries inflicted by your stupid idea to ring the dinner bell for predators.
