Coming in June: Beretta 80X Cheetah Tactical Special Edition

Coming June 2026: Beretta 80X Cheetah Tactical Special Edition

Beretta has just officially announced the rollout of the new 80X Cheetah Tactical Special Edition. This new two-tone version of Beretta’s popular compact .380 ACP pistol revival is scheduled to hit shelves in June 2026.

The SA/DA compact .380 keeps the same 113mm barrel from the rest of the series, but adds handy threads and pairs it up with a blacked-out slide, barrel, grips, and magazine base pad set against a bronze anodized aluminum frame. Black G10 grip panels, a fiber optic front sight, blacked-out serrated rear sight, and a two-slot Picatinny rail complete the look, while the barrel arrives factory threaded ½”-28 with a single-port compensator already installed so you can take it straight to the range.

“Recoil mitigation. Barrel comes ½”-28 thread and a single port compensator already mounted in order to reduce muzzle flip and ensure faster follow-up shots,” is what Beretta states in their official marketing material that I’ve been able to get a hold of. The G10 panels also get a special mention for, I think, showcasing the better ergonomics of the new tactical variant and the modernized 80X series overall.

I think the entire package is one of the most appealing looks-wise from what I’ve seen so far of Beretta’s scheduled 2026 product releases.

This special edition release is supposed to give Cheetah fans a turnkey factory package that includes suppressor-ready threading and some extra recoil control right from Beretta. It continues the steady evolution of the modernized Cheetah platform while the company updates its full 2026 lineup to mark its 500th anniversary. Full availability details will be posted on the official Beretta website closer to the June launch date.

This newest variant of the 80X joins the expanding Cheetah family, which already offers standard, Green, Desert, Gray, Bronze, and other Tactical models in both .380 ACP and .32 ACP. All stay true to the 80 series formula of an aluminum frame, low-profile design, superior trigger, and strong shootability aimed at home defense and collectors. The Tactical Special Edition adds the factory compensator, higher-capacity magazines, and G10 texture without requiring any extra parts hunting.

The special edition gun also includes front and rear slide serrations, a red dot-ready slide, frame safety, and adjustable reset. The pistol ships with three 15-round magazines fitted with +2 base pads. Beretta is saying that the gun is going to retail (at least in Europe) for €1,099 (roughly ~$1,289 USD depending on exchange rates).
