I call it self-defense.

[Ok, well, a warning shot was not a good idea because they can land you in legal hot water, the second one stopped the threat cold, but the intent of both shots was clearly defense-in-nature and not ‘gun violence’. And the very act of the bad guy threatening to kill everyone and not heeding a warning shot and turning towards the defender and advancing on her with what employees described as a ‘what looked like a knife’ in his hand is a pretty clear demonstration of the bad guy intent to harm. This is one of the many reason why the term ‘gun violence’ is such a false terminology. If the intent reason is defense to save life from serious harm or death, especially when such has been threatened and that threat is right-there imminent, its defense and not ‘gun violence’. Even when a criminally minded person uses a firearm (which is actually rare compared to all of the other non-firearm ‘weapons’ used in criminal minded person acts non-firearm-to-firearm its 1,000:1), but even then its still not ‘gun violence’ but rather criminal-act violence or criminal-person violence or criminal-violence, broadly or in specific circumstance (i.e. suicide), human violence because guns do not commit violence but rather its the actions of the person with the gun that inflicts the violence. Notice how the anti-gun are quick to point out ‘gun violence’ stats but never tell you a portion of those are valid defense incidents (~67% overall nationally in stats, although, there are ‘over’ ~2 million defensive gun use incidents annually and its simply that not all of them pull the trigger because the bad guy runs off when confronted by an armed defender so you never hear about them, for example, 38% of women targeted and attacked by perpetrators for serious injury and rape purposes in 2024 were armed with a firearm and all avoided serious injury or death and avoided being raped by bringing their firearm to bear yet less than 1% had to pull the trigger because the attacker ran off when being confronted by those armed defenders)]

Considering that every invader is breaking several laws just by being in the US, they’re already starting with a disadvantage in the “who’s more law-abiding” challenge. If they don’t care about our immigration laws it stands to reason that they wouldn’t care much about our other laws.

On Friday, the Oregon Department of Justice said it had moved to reverse Fireside’s conditional release after she was no longer at the home address she stated to the court, which had been in Lexington in Morrow County. Fireside is facing charges of aggravated first-degree theft, using a computer to commit theft, first-degree theft, identity theft, as well as first-degree forgery.

Melissa Fireside crossed into Mexico with her child and then got on a flight to Amsterdam. She had been allowed to bail out without an ankle monitor.
The child’s father contacted authorities about the missing boy. They had no clue.
Fireside is a Democrat who was championed by liberals for being a woke woman. She won against an incumbent conservative.’
