Gun Owners of America PSA GOA-15 Lower Fundraiser to End the NFA

I know there are a lot of gun rights groups competing for our money right now. It’s a time of unprecedented lawsuits in an effort to claw back our 2A rights and reign in the ATF, so it’s understandable. Gun Owners of America and Palmetto State Armory have teamed up to offer a way for you to donate to GOA, and to get something cool out of it while you wait on the lawsuits to pan out. The GOA-15 AR lower.

The GOA-15 Lower

Palmetto State Armory has been one of the industry leaders when it comes to putting their money where their mouth is. They’ve joined in on a number of lawsuits geared towards dismantling the National Firearms Act and deregulating short barrel rifles and shotguns, and suppressors. The latest collaboration with GOA is just the latest effort to help that cause.

The GOA-15 is a standard MIL-SPEC lower forged from 7075-T6 Aluminum. The finish is MIL-A-8625, Type III, Class 2, black in color. The lower has the GOA logo on the left side of the mag well and is marked “GOA-15 MULTI” beneath that. The serial number starts with “ENDNFA”. The selector switch markings are “HUSH” (Safe), “SBR” (Fire), and “BRRT” (Full-Auto). It is a semi auto lower though, so the third position marking is just for looks.

Cost and Fundraiser Details

The GOA-15 lower is priced at a very reasonable $59.99. Out of that $59.99 PSA will donate $25.00 to GOA for every receiver sold. So you’re buying a lower for $34.99 and making a $25 donation to fight the NFA. There’s an option when you check out to make a further donation to GOA if you like, but it isn’t required. This is a limited run to support GOA’s lawsuit and only 9,999 lowers will be made. Shipping will be within 60 days of your order.

PSA’s goal is to raise $250,000 to support the GOA lawsuit. They need to sell all 9,999 of the GOA-15 lowers to meet that goal. All of the plaintiffs in the lawsuit, PSA included, have already
pledged over six figures to the cause, but Gun Owners of America needs to raise additional funds to have the resources to ensure a win.

What to Build?

So, what do you build with a GOA-15 lower? Obviously anything you want to, but I plan on filing a Form 11 on mine and SBR’ing it. Just so ATF has to approve an ENDNFA marked lower. With any luck, if the lawsuit is successful, it may be the last rifle I need to file a Form 1 on. I ordered mine the other day and added a bit extra in for the GOA on top of it. There’s never been a chance at repealing the NFA like we have in front of us now, so it’s great to se companies like Palmetto State Armory helping make it happen.

I would buy one of these in a heartbeat if I didn’t have to pay a $75 FFL transfer fee on top of it–since fedzilla considers a finished lower receiver to be a “firearm”, even if it is just a shell with no components inside.

Given the added expenses involved, I think it is better to just donate $25 (or more) to GOA directly.

I typed a very brief and thoughtful comment (that could not have possibly had anything that was controversial or inappropriate) which immediately vanished. I will not try to add any more comments after this.
