Constitution Day is the Perfect Occasion to Commit to Defending Your Gun Rights

Pro gun protest signs gun rights

With the seemingly endless attacks on Americans’ constitutional rights across the country, the Second Amendment Foundation is urging all Americans to celebrate Constitution Day by continuing to defend the Second Amendment.

“It’s often said that the Second Amendment is the protector of all other rights,” said SAF Executive Director Adam Kraut. “There continues to be a longstanding and targeted attack on the right to keep and bear arms in the U.S., however, and SAF stands at the tip of the spear when it comes to defending, securing and restoring our 2A rights. Our mission is to ensure Americans have the ability to fully exercise all their rights, and that starts with protecting the Second Amendment.”

Founded in 1974, SAF is at the forefront of legal actions aimed at dismantling infringements on the Second Amendment rights of U.S. citizens. Over the past 50-plus years SAF has been part of more than 260 cases and currently has more than 50 active lawsuits across the nation. Those cases challenge unconstitutional firearms regulations such as “assault weapon” bans, magazine capacity bans, young adult carry laws, “sensitive places” restrictions, red flag laws, prohibited person and many, many more.

“Constitution Day serves as a great reminder that the Second Amendment stands on equal footing as all other rights afforded American citizens,” said SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb. “Unfortunately, there are those who conveniently forget that fact on a regular basis. That’s why we have continued our work for more than 50 years – to ensure the Second Amendment isn’t marginalized and turned into a second-class right.”

    1. “We need a national conversation on dismantling the terrorist .org known as the democrats.”

We spent 4 years in a ‘national conversation’ and they didn’t listen so ‘conversation’ is over. What we need now is enough prison space to hold them.

      1. Reservations in Nevada. Most of the state is federal land. Probably wouldn’t need to re settle more than a million or so. Dem officials. Teachers. Professors. Folks would get the message quick enough and start behaving.

Give them the materials to farm and build with and let them prove that social-lism is the better way.

  1. The 1st amendment doesn’t protect Jimmy Kimmel when he says stupid things about Charlie Kirk.

You are Fired sir! Say goodbye to your 16 million dollar contract.

ABC his boss is not the government. Remember the internet is forever.

Now he can have a podcast like another other D list celebrity. Anyone can work for themselves.

    1. ABC probably just wanted to cut him from their bleeding budget but worried about contract buyouts and union pains. They saw an out with his Kirk rant and took it. Now they can save millions and not entirely look like the bad guy.

Nobody watches these shows and they’ve all been money pits for years.

      1. BREAKING: ABC pulls Jimmy Kimmel Live indefinitely after host’s Charlie Kirk commentary.

“Late night host Jimmy Kimmel is officially off the air. Disney’s ABC pulled the comedian’s show after comments he made on his Monday night show claiming that Charlie Kirk’s assassin was a right-winger.

The show is off the air ‘indefinitely,’ per Variety. Nextstar Media said they have plans to pre-empt the show going forward, which spurred ABC to make the move. The cancelation begins on Wednesday night.

          1. Good. If only they could get that fake laughing insufferable Fallon off the air too. Colbert gone, Kimmel gone, late night TV as a concept gone.
