The NRA Women’s New Energy Brunch will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at the NRA Annual Meeting, located at George R. Brown Convention Center, in Houston, Texas, 10:00am – 12 noon.
NRA Board Members Linda Walker and Maria Heil co-host the event. Tickets are only $20 in advance, or $25 at the door, making this event affordable and accessible to those new to the NRA family.
This event is a women’s-only gathering, and a unique opportunity to learn about NRA’s programs, outreach, and mission as relates to women. Guests meet many female NRA Board Members, staff and leaders.
Held in conjunction with the NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits, the event will feature buffet brunch, dialogue, and breakout into small group discussions including:
- Hunting
- Grassroots and Political issues
- Personal Protection/CCW
- Women’s Wilderness Escape
- Women’s Programs
- Friends of the NRA Table
- Women on Target
This is the 12th year of the Women’s New Energy Brunch. Board Director Walker first attended an NRA Annual meeting when Buckeye Firearms won the Volunteer Organization of the Year Award in 2008. Linda is currently President of Buckeye Firearms, of Ohio. In 2009, Linda Walker won the NRA Sybil Ludington Women’s Freedom Award in 2009. She recognized that she would like to see more Women’s events and activities at these meetings. Walker became a Board Member in 2011, and has served continuously ever since, never missing a Board meeting.
This event is perfect for the newcomer. Walker said at the top of the program each year, she asks for a show of hands as to how many are attending the New Energy Brunch for the first time: 75% of the hands are new.
